“Had a massive air leak from my tire while I was in Fullerton for my daughter's friend's birthday--got a warning to pull over immediately. I quickly searched for a nearby tire shop and found this place, and I'm so glad I did.
Huge shout-out and special thank you to Diego--he was incredibly fast, knowledgeable, and kind throughout the whole process. I called the shop at 1:15 PM, arrived at 1:25 PM, and was back on the road by 1:41 PM. That kind of speed and efficiency is rare!
They found that my tire had both a nail puncture and a large rock puncture. Diego and the team tried to see if it could be patched, but the damage was too extensive. They then offered me a replacement tire at a very affordable price, and I really appreciated how transparent and helpful they were. Because I just got it replaced, I am not sure about the longevity of the tire, but if I didn't get it replaced today I would have needed a tow home.

“So today 8/8/26 I took my car to get an oil change and the girl who work there came up to me and said my oil pan plug was stripped! What concerns me is I always take my car to pep boys and my last service they never mentioned anything about my oil pan plus being stripped or bad!
I’ve had my vehicle serviced here before, including oil changes, and I was never told that the drain plug or oil-pan threads were damaged or stripped. Today, I was told that the drain plug is stripped and that an oversized plug is being used as a temporary solution.
I understand that damage can happen, but I’d like to know when this was first documented and whether the previous oil change was inspected for this issue. Since Pep Boys has serviced the vehicle before, I’d also like to understand how the damage occurred and whether it could have happened during a previous oil change or today’s service.
Before I agree to pay for a new oil pan, I’d like to see the damaged plug and the threads in the oil pan, and I’d like a written estimate for both a proper thread repair and a replacement oil pan.
I’m not trying to place blame without knowing what happened. I just want to make sure I’m not being charged for damage that may have occurred during servicing.

“Went to Toyota for my regular service and they suggested about $1500 worth of services. I just got my oil change & tire rotation (covered by my service plan), then was referred to One Way by someone at American Tire. Inspection is $150, but they waived it for me since I got services done. It took a little while for the inspection to be completed (maybe an hr to an hr and a half), but it was so detailed. They broke everything down with pictures to help me understand their findings, and lack thereof. They showed me all the testing/inspecting they did and that more than half of the things Toyota told me I needed were not really necessary at that time. Apparently they often suggest things early just based on mileage, not really based on the actual condition of the car & its parts. Ended up spending about $300 (including 20% off one of my services for being a 1st time customer) on things that were actually necessary for my car at that time. They were also very kind and courteous, unlike the service advisor I dealt with at Toyota.”
