“I started playing tennis rather late in life. My patient and supportive friend Mariko coached me from the ground up until I could (somewhat) competently play with others. Recently she told me I was ready to graduate beyond my beginners racquet. This day felt momentous. I probably should've noted it down in my diary. (Reader: I did not, but it was sometime late last summer.) Mariko sorted everything related to my second tennis racquet by calling Tom at Montclair Sports. All I had to do was show up and pay for it. Others are unlikely to receive this level of service, but rest assured that even if you don't have a Mariko in your life, Tom will get you everything you need to get on the court. When I'm ready for my next racquet, I'll be coming back to Tom.”

“I I have been buying nice clothing from Patrick James since they were in the Campbell Pruneyard in the late 60s I can never go to another store to find the same quality others try but they can't match I've dealt with many of their key personnel and they've helped me in all of my endeavors of clothing. I like nice clothes that last and look good on me. Ollie and Richard are great in Danville. to sum this up, all I could say, is they have quality clothing at a Reasonable price you won't have to look further. “SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS & HAVE A GREAT SHOE-FITTING EXPERIENCE!Liz was AWESOME!We spent over an hour finding character shoes, ballet, and half ballet shoes that fit me well.I'm usually an 8.5 with a slender foot but discovered with Liz's help, that I'm a 9W in character shoes!I would never have thought that.Before coming to A1, I quickly bought shoes online I needed for an audition and, go figure, they didn't fit.Not only did they not fit, but the quality was not good.Liz gets her shoes DIRECTLY from the source, and SPECIFICALLY ordered me the EXACT shoe I needed: black, t-strap, 2 inch heel, 9W.I can try on the shoes without the expectation to purchase, how awesome!NOTE:You can ONLY EXCHANGE shoes here that DO NOT look worn.This is totally fair, and, Liz will ensure you get the right shoe for you so you don't have to deal with returning online orders like I did.”
“I highly recommend The Cobblers. I've had these Koolaburra Ugg boots for over 20 years!! The soles were completely worn out and so dirty. I couldn't just toss them away because you can't find boots like these, especially with the back braid . I had the pleasure to meet Dino. Such a nice man!! He had them for a week. He cleaned them up and added new soles and inserts. I wish I had taken before pics. These were a mess. I was amazed how clean they came out. Very reasonable prices . Highly recommend Also bought a cute pair of moccasins, too !! Thank you, Dino.”
“Paige was the one who reached out to me when I first walked into the store. She is very knowledgeable and she first measured both of my feet. I thought I was a 101/2 but it turns out my shoes were cramping my toes and the correct size I needed was 11. My podiatrist wears Hoka and that was the brand I selected. She allowed me to walk around the store a few times and my feet never felt better. I have Achilles tendinitis in my right heel and I felt to pain or irritation. I love the foam sole and great arch support. I have experienced a new way of walking on air. Paige is a tri athlete and very knowledgeable about walking and running shoes. The store has a great selection of various top rated brands. I will definitely be coming back due to the personalized service and fair prices.”
“They don't have the 4X shirts I'm a 4X shirt for it's jacket and this plant is not thick enough but that's the way it is andthey don't carry it not enough flip flops for the summer and then they need to carry a larger coats 3x and 4x but wider and theyneed to carry thicker jeans I bought some jeans they tore up from between the legs they need a better material but other than that the price has great some of theclothes in their great and the perfume it smells real good I'm a size 22 in pants I wish they had some pants I I like tostretch jeans but I don't like the June to stretch out of shape and I don't like colors they bleed Selma Walmart has clothes like that they bleed the color is just fade away on some of the Walmart shirts but otherthan that they have pretty good bargain they need to have a credit card cuz in thepandemic there's still some people that's really poor did I need a credit card for people could apply for it apply for credit in the store and get credit card in the store better bring a lot of business”
“Love Eileen Fisher clothes and am very happy that the only west coast outlet is close by in San Leandro. I always know what to wear, Eileen makes it easy. Have spent hundreds of dollars over the years but the fabrics are worth it. That she accepts all used clothing back for $5 each garment is another plus. Returned a few and got $60 credit. My friend who lives in So Cal always has me take her to Eileen's after I pick her up at oakland international Airport.”

“Great help finding some comfy shoes. They have shoes that fit me comfortably. I have wide feet and was able to find something. My wife found some shoes that she likes(shes been on the lookout for a few months). The best part is that the prices are good. There is a clearance section in the back with a lot of different styles of shoes. They carry steel toe, running, walking, and even slip resistant shoes(to name a few kinds). I'll be coming back to get some more shoes in the near future. Maybe even check out some of the clothing options if I have some extra time. Thanks for the good service and the help with finding what I needed.”

“I went it to purchase some boots for both work & an outfit I was piecing together. Originally when I ask if they had any black Timberlands I was flat out told that they did not.I wondered around a bit and was just about to leave until I was greeted by Juve, who asked me if I needed help looking for anything particular.I told him what I was there searching for, to my surprise he said they did have in stock (to be fair, the other employee must not have known they just received new shipment).We got to talk about car market & shoe market since we both work in sales and he just came off as a genuine guy who was looking out for your best interest. He asked me questions to help pick out the shoe that best fit my needs even though I knew I wanted those black Timberlands but was still appreciative that he asked. He even was giving quality customer service to me and at least two other customers which I was impressed.All in all, Juve provided an excellent shopping experience & was willing to go the extra mile to meet my needs. I didn’t find out he was even the manager until near the end of our interaction.I will be going here to purchase my next pair of footwear when I get the chance!”

The person working here was sooo nice and friendly, even when we came in 15 minutes before closing on a weekday and couldn't seem to make up our mind and kept making her run back for different sizes.
