Bakersfield is a transportation hub that provides various transit options, including trains and buses, for travelers. The train station is generally well-maintained, with a friendly staff member who occasionally keeps the station open for passengers. However, the experience can be mixed, as some reviews mention issues such as rude staff, delayed or early departures, and subpar bathroom conditions. Despite these challenges, the station serves as a convenient gateway, particularly for those commuting between Bakersfield and Los Angeles. Passengers can take the Amtrak Thruway bus to Union Station in LA and then connect to the LAX Flyaway bus, which is a more cost-effective option compared to ridesharing services. Overall, the Bakersfield transit station offers a functional, if not always comfortable, transportation experience for those in the area.
Pretty good besides the heat and the long walk to the bathroom. It would have been a bit better if the bathroom stalls were a bit bigger to fit my luggage since I can't leave my luggage alone.

Depends on who you're riding with. Texas Eagle is pretty awesome but nothing to see but the flatland.
