“Very Large selection of Liquor; from the cheap stuff to fairly expensive liquors. Specialty and limited edition items. CRUSHED ICE NOW AVAILABLE NO EXTRA CHARGE. Always in stock with what I need. They have a bargain box at the end of the counter (By the ATM). Whatever is in the box is only $1 each. Items in there change daily. Just don't forget to tell them if an item is from that box. Don't try to bs them either. And if you try to rob that store, they will come after you themselves. They are good, honest, hardworking Americans with families. Family roots from Syria. (Our allies). They treat locals way better than the last owners did.”

“My quick stop after work for gas is always a great experience. The prices are consistently competitive, and the pumps are very clean along with the entire outside area. I also feel safe pumping gas here at night, which is a big plus. It does tend to get busy after 5pm as people from the nearby hospital get out of work, but even then it’s still a reliable and convenient place to fuel up.”
“Smart & Final on Mt. Vernon is the only place I get groceries. There is always plenty of parking, the prices are usually lowest, and the staff is the best. In particular, Jolanda, Christopher and Josh are helpful, friendly, and quick on the register. During off-peak hours, the lines are short, and they will usually open a new one if they need to. A special note about the security guard: One day my dog forced his way through the car window and ran into the store after me. The guard stopped him and, rather than lecturing me, he offered to hold onto the dog until I was finished. The people who work there make the place what it is. Even the shoppers there tend to be chill.”

“I have been coming to Lucky Seven for a few years and will continue to come back. All of the staff at this location are so friendly and professional. The young guy that works the counter is the best. He is fast and so funny. He treats everyone like family. His dad does too. I don't care what you are looking for they have it in the store. You can find any liquor (top shelf to cheap, they got ya) and they even have some cold for you too. The store is always clean and the atmosphere is on point. You don't find the shelves empty in this store and the prices are reasonable. If you looking for good lottery tickets this is the place to get them. $$ If you in the area or not, stop on by and see for yourself.”

“If you’re in Bakersfield and haven’t checked out Verdugo Market, you’re seriously missing out! Their beer section is ice cold ? 5 Stars?—perfect for grabbing a few to chill with after work or stock up for the weekend. The liquor selection is one of the most impressive I’ve seen, with everything from top-shelf whiskeys to hard-to-find tequilas.The staff here is always cool, and genuinely fun to talk to, which makes quick stops feel like friendly visits. And the best part.. if you must ask They carry Howies Michelada Mixes another 5 Stars ?—and at a great price, too! Normally, I’d have to wait for a farmer’s market or order online just to get my hands on it, but Verdugo keeps it stocked and convenient every time.This place really sets the bar for what a neighborhood market should be. Coldest beer and Howies Micheladas!!

“Best place in this area to buy what ever alcohol your looking for, but the owner of this store really needs to enforce some security outside in the parking lot..Too many homeless and sketchy people just lingering outside in the parking lot and alley .. Not good”
