Vons at 4500 Coffee Rd in Bakersfield, CA, is a popular neighborhood grocery store known for its friendly service and convenient location. The store is always clean and well-stocked, with a wide selection of fresh produce, meats, baked goods, and bakery items such as customizable cakes and cupcakes. The deli offers a variety of party trays, and customers can enjoy the convenience of ordering bakery items online through the Order Ahead service for quick pickup. The floral department features exclusive Debi Lilly design™ products, allowing customers to create personalized floral arrangements. Many shoppers appreciate the helpful and friendly staff, especially at the meat counter and checkout lanes. The store provides multiple ways to shop efficiently, including Grocery Delivery and DriveUp & Go™ services, which cater to busy lifestyles. Customers also value the store’s accessibility, with wheelchair-friendly features and accessible bathrooms. The parking lot can sometimes be small for the busy area, but overall, the store maintains a clean environment with regularly stocked shelves, even during the pandemic. While most reviews are positive, some shoppers mention long lines at checkout and limited self-checkout options, suggesting that adding more self-checkout lanes could improve the shopping experience. A few customers also noted that the store is a bit dark and that the pickup staff could be more attentive and friendly. Despite these minor concerns, many customers consider Vons a reliable, pleasant, and well-maintained grocery store that continues to serve as their go-to spot for grocery shopping in Bakersfield.
An amazing store. Always having deals and my favorite is the meat department. The 2 guys I usually deal with are great assets to the company. Fresh bread and decent produce. I shop here almost every day.
