They just dropped off a load of lumber to my house and I have a really awful driveway and the guy (wish I got his name) navigated it so well! He got a little stuck but worked so so hard to get the truck out never took a break. The hardest worker I’ve ever met! “Generally a nice location, good selection, and friendly helpful staff but they can’t seem to make keys. I had some keys made last year, they didn’t work, I went back two more times and still none of them worked. I gave up and had them made elsewhere. I didn’t think much of it until one of my coworkers today mentioned they also had similar issues getting keys made at this location.”

“Gorgeous selection of plants indoor, outdoor, veggie starts, herbs, etc. Prices were fair and everything was easy to find.

Staff pretty much ignored us, which is fine because I didn't need help finding anything, but one employee was watching me struggle to maneuver my cart around an enormous garden hose that was in the middle of the store posing a tripping hazard. She didn't try to move it or help at all. So not the greatest staff in the world, but the plants! Tons of varieties of sages and California Natives. Will definitely be back.”

Their pricing was fantastic—they matched and even beat quotes from shops over the hill. The real value, however, was in their service. Being local, they offered just-in-time delivery, which saved us a ton of space on-site. When I made a mistake and misordered several crates of wrong AB blocks, they were incredibly helpful and fixed the issue without any problems. “The good people at the Ace Hardware on Soquel Avenue are the best! I had a BBQ delivered and found it wasn’t working properly (or so I thought!). Without hesitation they sent someone to check it out and lo and behold, he got it started. I was unaware of a little “trick” to getting it started (see me blushing). Go to United or HDepot and they'll ask for fingerprints, IDs, 300 deposits..and usually take 45mins.
Dont go anywhere else, family owned since 1974!!”

“I stopped by the Ace Hardware in Felton and it’s one of the nicest hardware stores I’ve been to. The whole place is brand new, super clean, and really well organized.

The coolest part is they have an actual ice cream counter inside. You can grab a cone or a cup, or just pick up a container to take home, which is something you definitely don’t expect in a hardware store.

They’ve got a great selection of stuff, a really nice garden center, and it wasn’t crowded at all when I went. The staff were also really friendly and easy to talk to.

Overall just a really solid store. I’d definitely go back, even just for the ice cream.”

“Purchased a two seater cloud couch a couple years ago. The staff was attentive and great at explaining everything without pressuring us. Fast forward to this year, we were having trouble with the couch and cushions and when we stopped by to let them know, and the staff took care of us without hesitation and ordered replacement pieces for us. That’s all star service. That’s why I’m happy to pay more for product from a company that takes care of its loyal clients. They truly are the Apple of furniture.”

“Who can complain? Home Depot has what you probably need. However, this Home Depot does stand out for exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. The downside is that it is a smaller one and is often out of things you came for, so you will often find yourself driving to the Watsonville store.”
