“I am a larger man, 6'10, 295lbs and have never found clothes that I felt 100% comfortable with. I contacted Ben for a custom suit for my wedding. He was very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. He never pushes anything but give his honest opinion about what might work better. When I got the suit (it arrive exactly as promised) it looke and felt perfect. I have never been 100% comfortable in a suit and for the first time ever I felt like I looked amazing. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back should I need another one! Thank you Ben!”

“Treasures of Tibet Store is the best place to shop in Berkeley for clothing, blankets, jewelry and gifts. It is owned by a fabulous family and Peki and Thubtan are such friendly and generous owners. They run the business with integrity and kindness as well as being so helpful and friendly. Their store items are of stupendous and excellent quality: beautiful and soft materials in their blankets and ponchos. They have a wide variety of clothing, from excellent , colorfully designed cotton pants to a diverse range of Tibetan blouses and coats. The earrings are truly beautiful and of many lovely gemstones. There are many rings to choose from. It is a truly well run store with so much to choose from, even big and beautiful abalone shells! This store deserves 6 plus rating. It is a well organized and beautiful store with such friendly owners who will go out of their way to give you the very best service.”

“Bought some bearing lubricant and looked at some wrist guards earlier today. Both guys that helped me were knowledgeable, friendly, and prices were good. I’m also happy to support a business that adds to the sport, local economy and community.”

“Personal Pizazz is the type of boutique one could imagine finding on 5th Avenue or Milan. Instead, in the heart of Elmwood in College Avenue. Great selection of the finest—clothing, accessories (hats, scarves, jewelry)—& the proprietor is very helpful. You won’t be disappointed!

My latest necklace from her jewelry armoire.”

“Great menswear line with wonderful fabric. If you are a woman who likes to actually do things then the men’s line is for you! Cute atmosphere and nice staff. The women’s line is a total disappointment but that’s common, so avoid that area like the plague. Yuck! Go to the vans store down the street if you really are into womens clothes where they feature cool women who do things like skateboard and surf just like men do.”

“Standard & Strange is a must see for anyone who’s into high quality menswear items with an emphasis on heritage wear. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the brands they stock are quite rare (many coming from japan), and the experience has always been so great every time i’ve visited. This place is a gem! Will continue visiting and shopping here.”

“Stopped by to get some jeans for my wife’s new job. She wasn’t sure of her size, or what she wanted - really annoying customer! But Marissa upstairs and the folks downstairs helped her walk away with two pairs she wont stop gushing over. Def will be recommending to friends and family in the area!”

“Thank you so much to Ricky, the manager of Fall Rush in Berkeley. We were in town to move our daughter into the dorm for her freshman year. We wanted to get some CAL merch, but the other stores were all closed. Apparently, Fall Rush was also supposed to be closed, but Ricky and some of his employees stayed open to accommodate the many people who were in a similar situation as we were. Super grateful to have such incredible customer service and great selection of products, too!”

“Have some items to look into selling @ Crossroads. Looked into listing on PoshMark and sending off to ThredUp for them to list but it's better on the environment to go through Crossroads because it saves on shipping each item to each buyer. The display on the mannequins is always very cheerful when you walk by on Shattuck. It's near the Central Library.”
