“This has been my go-to smoke shop for some years now, mainly because of the excellent customer service and unique products that they bring in! Whenever I had an issue with a product, the owner Nas would go above and beyond in addressing my concerns. He is very knowledgable, friendly, and an overall great guy. The shop itself has been remodeled over the past couple years and looks clean, sleek and modern. Highly recommend!”

“This is my favorite smoke shop in the area. I’ve been going here for about two years now, ever since I moved to the bay. They have everything you could need from bongs to down stems, to top notch grinders, cigarettes, rolling trays, and even drinks and snacks! I don’t go to any other smoke shops because they always have what I need! I absolutely adore the family who runs this shop, and the customer service is always top notch. They are really nice people, it’s always a joy to go into the shop. Thank you guys for being so kind.”

“This fine establishment is the best smoke shop around! I can guarantee you will find quality items for great prices. I have bought two bongs here and have also brought friends, all very satisfied with their purchases. I also get all my grinders, trays, steel traps, rolling paper, bong cleaner, pipes, basically everything I would need here. “I came in looking for a bong and left with the piece of my dreams!I don't often go to Berkeley to buy glass but when i do, I ALWAYS END UP BUYING IT HERE. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. They are conversational without being pushy. Therey are 100% there to help you.The prices have always been reasonable. Not the cheapest in the bay but absolutely the best selection in berkeley. Furthermore i have NEVER walked out of Whelans feeling cheated or like i payed too much.Lastly, as we all know...it's not always a pleasant experience going into a glass shop in berkeley when you're a person of color. Often times, employees will follow you around and hover over you making their suspicion or outright disrespect clear. Not so at Whelans. Nobody is treated differently because of the color of their skin. I know because they were perfectly respectful and kind to my husband.At least stop by, i guarantee they will have something for you.”

“I have been a huge fan of this place e for many years. Now I know there's a bunch of shops like this in Berkeley, I ve been to em all. What sets this one apart is the open, no pressure approach they take. That and all the really cool stuff.from hand woven bags to jewelry to statues of Shiva and Gonesh. Its a real joy to go in for some pipe tobacco, n get a lil insight into ...whatever sparkle catches my eye THAT particular day. Always been a pleasure.
