The reviews didn't lie: They are really that good. We have returned several times for repairs with great results. Their prices are very reasonable, with their estimates prior to doing the work, spot on. If there is something that they can't do, they will refer you to the right shop. “Dominic went out of his way to help me diagnose and repair malfunctioning Advanced driver assist systems on a BMW I’d just picked up at auction. Previous windshield was replaced by Safelite and they’d manage to damage the $1,800 KAFAS camera that mounts against the glass. Instead of sending me on a wild goose chase buying parts, Dominic took the car into his shop, removed the Safelite windshield and opened up the casing of the camera to find a split ribbon with several wires running through it! Thankfully I found a replacement camera at a junkyard for $100. In spite of it taking almost 5 days to ship, Dominic kept my vehicle inside so it wouldn’t be exposed to the elements. He Replaced the camera at no additional cost and put in a new windshield in with the upmost attention to detail. Can’t say enough good things about this business. Brilliant!”

“I have been going to Coronado Shell for years for my smog checks. Recently I just took my 2018 Toyota Rav 4 in for a failed Alternator. Jaime the shop manager checked me in and was able to locate a Denso Alternator. Jaime guaranteed it's a good brand so I went with it. I also had the battery changed because a leak was identified the the tech. When I picked up the car I was showed the diagnostic test after the install the alternator tested strong. Everything was put back together nice. The car had so much torque when I drove as well as my wife, and we are truly amazed with the Denso brand backed with a 2 year warranty! The job took a day, and we were back on the road the day after. This place is nothing but great service and communication. Before going anywhere else check this place first, they saved my hundreds of dollars! Thank you!”

“I have been taking my cars to John's since 2017. Every time I've been there, I felt confident that my vehicle was in good hands.
Recently I took my 05 CR-V in for an inspection and I was extremely impressed by the customer service provided by Dave and Rick and also the quality of the work performed by Ulisess.
If you want to take your car to a place where you will be treated like family, then don't bother looking any further.
These guys are constantly busy and they have absolutely no motivation to rip you off when they already have so much business as it is. And for that reason, sometimes it might take a bit longer than you prefer to get your vehicle back... but I promise you it's worth it, because they're making sure to do a great job with every car that enters their shop.
These guys will NEVER try to upsale you on anything. They will ONLY tell you something needs to get done if it truly needs to get done. And if it doesn't need to get done any time soon, they'll tell you that it's safe to wait. Their inspection reports are thorough and honest.
I know I will continue to come to this shop for as long as I live in southern California.”
