Ellis helped walk me through many shoe options best fit for my needs on both occasions and helpfully explained the differences between the shoes, what they do, and guided me through the decision making. At one point I was staring at the nutrition shelf since I'm new to them and the crew at Renegade let me take them home to try! I really did appreciate that since I was so clearly lost. “Caleb provided the best fitting experience I’ve ever had. He filmed me run and analyzed my gait. He then had me try 6 different shoes, running around the block in each pair. Surely enough his first pick was the best one, so he got it right from the start.I’ve had $1000 ski boot fittings that were not as intricate as this fitting. Everything was explained to the detail.Would recommend this place to everyone.”

“I am a fan of all the Sports Basement stores but the Byrant Street Location is the best for customer service and especially for their bike service!!! Many times I have gone to the team and they have been able to help me with a smile and with tough situations. I have a Van Moof bike and they are not easy to service because of their unique items. Yet the team of bike technicians always finds a way to help me. Janelle is very patient and helpful and knowledgeable. Jason has done some incredible work very quickly at a great value too. And Josh and Brad are so helpful as well. Brad is always friendly with great suggestions and it's nice he acknowledges you as a repeat customer! I'm blown away by their skills and their positive & friendly demeanor. The associates in the entire store are also helpful. "Dee" for example carried my bike, not once but twice. I'm in the hospitality industry and wish I had employees like these to help us with our guest service! Well done team and THANK YOU!”

“I've come in for many things- whether it is to make a P2P transfer (which they did for me on the spot without an appointment which I am eternally grateful for), to buy ammo, look and get a feel for certain guns (even let me try out the LEO only selection to see if they fit my hand well), or just shoot the shit and see what selection they had on hand. They're always super nice and helpful. Never felt pressured to buy anything or felt stupid to ask questions. Just don't be a dick and be safe and all the staff will be nice to you. So if you're new to 2A, welcome and you'll have a great time here. Be aware they keep the door locked so be patient and don't try to barge in. You need to be buzzed. Other than that, nothing but good things for the boys and girls at Peninsula!”

He helped set everything up and stayed for hours while we tried numerous darts, sharing his stories and vast knowledge of the sport. If you buy darts in the bay area, i'd 100% give Don a call. “Love Sports Basement! I took my bike in on New Years day after a ride, where my gears/ shifters were giving me trouble. A Bike tech named Louis took me right away and quickly discovered that I had a loose cable and several parts that desperately needed lubrication. He worked fast and let me watch and learn, wished me happy new year and I was on my way again in minutes! Bike was in so much better shape afterwards. I felt safer and gearshifting has now been a breeze. Thanks Louis you’re the best!”

“As first hand experience of figure skates fitting and buying. I had no idea what skates were going to work. Lillian did a great job with sizing, fitting, and overall service. She took the time to make sure that I was confident with my purchase. Terry on the other hand was sharpening blades from skaters. Lillian and Terry's interaction with their customers were welcoming and overall genuine. I felt confident in my purchase. I will come back here to sharpen my blade when it's dull. The skates are so much better than rentals. I swear, the fit was amazing. Unfortunately I couldn't skate on the ice due to classes and practice, but I can't wait to try it on the ice.”

My 3 sails are each about 560 sq ft and used for 20 days sailing SF Bay each year, with many days at 32+ kts wind, and the sunbrella, leechline, clew, and other components appreciate Joe's attentions every 5-6 years! Joe is very personable, his prices fair, his sail loft on the SF peninsula near my home and boat in SouthBeach, and he has easy drop-off and pickup procedures. I'll be seeing Joe very soon, no doubt.”

They offer EXTREMELY fair prices on everything. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of stuff ESPECIALLY the guitars!!!
