“Okay to start I feel like an ass-hat for not leaving a review the first time I used Robert! Shame on me. Anyway... I had such an amazing experience with Robert and his crew the first time he moved us that I reached out again when we were relocating from the Bay Area to Long Beach, just to see if he knew long-distance movers who were good that could get us down there. Well luckily for us, Robert does all kinds of relocations, including long-distance! He promptly scheduled an appointment to come to view our place, he showed up on time and was as polite and professional as always. We received our estimate the same day and again he was upfront about all of the charges and explained how he works on a flat rate - which was good to know considering gas prices and other factors involved in a long-distance move. We didn't want any surprises at the end! The guys showed up on moving day right on time and worked tirelessly to get us moved out quickly. The next day they were ready to go at our new place in Long Beach, bright and early, and got us all settled within a few hours. The payment was super easy as well now that he takes Zelle as a cash! I have moved alot in my lifetime and its always something I've dreaded. Knowing Robert and his team have my back seriously made both moves with them totally... boring. LOL. My biggest complaint is that I don't know what to do with myself because I'm so used to having to babysit or help other movers. Not with these guys! 10/10 recommend.”

“We moved from the SF Bay Area to Iowa City. We used All Reasons Moving out of San Jose and I learned a lot about the moving business in the process.
Our stuff completely filled a 75 ft trailer and cost $42000 to move. They did an excellent job. Nothing was broken or lost.

The most important thing about movers is good references and reviews. Do not be suckered in by a low price. The initial price is just an estimate. The actual price will be based on the number of boxes, time to pack, weight, and how much space is taken up in the trailer. Therefore, the actual price may vary considerably from the estimate. Unscrupulous movers will give you a lowball price to get the job and then charge more at the end of the job.

When they present the actual price, your stuff is on the truck being held for “ransom” until you pay so they have lots of leverage to get you to pay. At this point, you do not know the condition of your stuff or if anything is missing.... but you still have to pay.

Three groups of people are involved in the move:

1. The local moving company gives the estimate, packs up everything and moves it to their warehouse.
2. The truck driver picks up everything at the warehouse and supervises packing it into the truck. He then drives the truck to your new abode.
3. The truck driver then works with a local team to unload your stuff and put it into the house.

The thing to remember is that a quality local moving company will attract the best drivers. The best drivers will attract the best team to unload.

Unscrupulous movers will attract bad drivers that have bad teams.

So…. Before choosing a mover, check out reviews and references. Do not be fooled by lowball prices or smooth-talking salesmen.”

“After having started out with another company that had quoted me $390 to transport my mgb from the bay area up to humboldt and then turned out to be a scam company (Get it Done transport), I finally found a highly rated company-Lucky Star auto transport. I guess his quote was more realistic-$948. Dealing with Zoly was good-pretty good English. He only took about a week to set it up, which he did with a trucking company that had a different name, so I figured he had subcontracted. the driver found us without help, which was amazing, but his English was scant, so communication was hard. He was at the bottom of the driveway, and refused to tow the car up the driveway to where we are located. So, we had to push the car up to our place using my husband's truck, which caused the tailight cover to get broken. When I talked to zoly later, he told me that was in fact his company too, so I could have called him and he said I should have; another communication snafu. But at least he "got it done".”

“The driver Mike was the absolute best. He had to get a new container since the first one was a bit difficult to open. He was so skilled and had fast precision with the forklift and was able to move things around despite having other cars around. He was also helpful at giving tips for loading and moving (it seems that round padlocks are a bit more secure), which I really appreciated. He was incredibly kind, courteous, and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and made my move much more bearable. People like that make sure customers give great recommendations. He definitely deserves a raise. Erica at dispatch (unlike the other guy) was pretty helpful too, so good experience all around.”

The guys on the team showed up on time, worked hard and were very professional and courteous for what could have been a very difficult move of commercial kitchen, office space and even a sound proof pod that weighs 1000# that they broke down and re-assembled.
At the end of it all, they took all of the items that I could not bring or use, and brought the to the dump for a very reasonable fee.
