It’s been a stressful time, but Dr. Shahzad's patience and care have made a huge difference. He frequently calls to check on her, and has even squeezed her in for urgent appointments three times without an appointment. I highly recommend trusting him with your pets; he is a truly compassionate veterinarian.

Although I typically leave my dog with somebody I know this time around everybody was already on vacation because it was summertime. So now I was forced to go to Yelp and that's when I found Ally. I can't tell you how lucky I was. She was extremely responsive and friendly. After I forwarded her my dog's vaccine shots records, she let me leave my dog with her at the last second. The entire time we were away she sent several proof of Life pictures lol. My dog was extremely comfortable and happy and so was I. If you need somebody, I highly recommend you get a quote from her first. This is the person you can trust with your dog. Her home is completely set up to spoil your pet. Besides the pictures she sends, she gives a lot of up-to-date texts as well. She is extremely experienced and has a lot of happy customers and I really don't think you need to go anywhere else but here. She has my business permanently. I wouldn't trust anybody else. And my dog absolutely loves her and loved all the other dogs that were vetted by her before she takes them on as clients.

7925 Variel Avenue, Canoga ParkLaura is AMAZING! I initially took my rescue dog, Bingo, to a local humane society for training, but unfortunately, she did not respond well to the trainer there. Foxy and the Hounds, the rescue organization I adopted Bingo from, recommended Laura and I am so glad they did!
After a phone consultation and reviewing a short video of the issue, Laura immediately helped me troubleshoot Bingo’s behavior and offered practical guidance over the phone. I was so impressed that I booked a package of three private sessions. I currently live in the Highland Park area, and Laura drove all the way out to meet with us. She was professional, patient, and incredibly helpful, giving me clear techniques to practice with Bingo between sessions (we initially worked on crate training then walking on leash and then just overall correction of bad behaviors).
I was genuinely surprised to see that someone had left Laura a one-star review because, in my experience, she is truly a dog whisperer! I plan to attend her group walking classes this Sunday (10/11) because Bingo can always benefit from extra reinforcement (and I am willing to drive 30 miles to work with her). That is how wonderful she is!
Bingo is very particular, and although I tried a few other trainers and group classes, she seemed to feel the most comfortable with Laura and genuinely loved her presence. I highly recommend her!

The teach with patience and love, and their methods work! They also help with emails between classes to talk you down when your puppy is driving you nuts :). I highly recommend!!

Uncle Jeff's Pet Sitting & More
8444 De Soto Avenue, Canoga ParkThis month was the first time that I needed outside assistance with looking after my small dogs while I was out of town. I did my research, and all signs kept pointing back to Uncle Jeff. His credentials speak for themself and he was the only person I found willing to give my dogs his insulin medication.
I wanted to go there before drop-off day to make sure my dogs wouldn't be too much trouble. Jeff was very accommodating and allowed us to drop by. Normally, my dogs exhibit behavior of barking at men, dodging them, etc. When we arrived, my dogs barked at him maybe one time. I felt a sense of calm wash over me.
While I was away, I got daily videos from Jeff. It was nice to be able to see their faces while I was away. I also got to see them interact with another small dog, and they all looked calm and just hanging out. I loved seeing my dogs walk up to Jeff without barking.
Jeff is easy to talk to, and that also eased my mind. He is willing to give your dog the care they receive at home. I would recommend Uncle Jeff and will be back again.

Just a block from Topenga Mall, theres no place else like it. The RING team is always friendly (Owner Juliette and her mom Jeri are awesome) They use premium ingredients in their soft baked donuts.

I get it, lots of elderly eat there but a little salt goes a long way. They are juicy, cheesy, beefy, and they are the only tacos I would have multiple of. I am really hoping to come here a third time. The service is what you'd expect for a food truck. I waited next to it for about 30-40 minutes, but definitely worth the wait. The people there seem very nice. There are multiple other choices that I bet are all delicious. Ambiance is just cars, haha. Los Angeles, ya know. 5 Stars!!

But this one, new India Palace, is an exceptional place to eat lunch (buffets) and dinner. The restaurant is led and owned by three hardworking ladies, extremely clean, and seriously delicious and clean food. Their hospitality is amazing too. By the way, they do not have those LOUD Indian music that no one understands. So , this place is a must try if you want to feel appreciated and also appreciate ‘truly’ authentic Indian food.
