“I’ve been extremely pleased with my experience with Tapa Jaguar and especially with Keith. Could not be happier with my experience. (Please read as this is an honest detailed review of my experience)

Before finding them, I had a streak of bad luck with my Land Rover. My Discovery 5 had coolant pipe failure. Long story short I was in need of an engine replacement. We love our Discovery very much and just didn’t have the heart to part ways with it just yet. After research I found Tapa Jaguar on the web. I feel blessed that I did.

After many conversations with Keith and careful consideration we decided to have Tapa Jaguar bring our vehicle back to life.
Keith was patient, honest, forth coming and answered all the questions I had and did not hold anything back.

After shipping the Discovery down to Southern California Keith had her running in no time. This was very exciting and a long time coming for us.

During the engine replacement he did an extensive inspection on my vehicle. During the time before I brought my car to Tapa, I had brought my vehicle to Land River Livermore to see if they could fix my car after it seized. (Was unaware of the car hydro locking). They quoted me 2k for a new starter because they said we burned it out trying to start the motor so many times after it seized in order to perform compression check. I declined thank goodness because I had communicated to keith about putting a new starter in. He said he would check it himself before we proceeded to purchase one. After careful inspection the starter was good after all. He saved me from an expensive fix that would have been a total waste of money. Also he let me know that my battery wasn’t holding a charge and troubleshot the problem to a mega fuse. (Probably caused by Land Rover dealer). Drove a few hours to find a part and replaced it for free. What a guy!

Also had a piece missing from my fan shroud that the dealer left out. He replaced that for me as well.

One thing I was adamant about was upgrading the coolant system to aluminum. No problem here, that is a standard at Tapa.

After receiving the vehicle back it drives smooth and feels as it did when it was brand new.

I feel good moving forward with this car because I know Keith has open line of communication and I know he will continue to support me with any comments , questions, or concerns I may have moving forward.

I can’t recommend Keith and Tapa Jaguar enough. If you want honest work, expert knowledge, and great customer service, this is the place to go. I could not recommend them more. Deal in confidence!”

“If I could, I will give him 10 stars. My car's air conditioner did not work and I was told that I will need a new compressor. I took my car to Mike and he noticed a small amount of green liquid on the floor under the engine. On further checking, he found out that it was the water pump with the thermostat that was leaking and there was also a leak from the Freon inlet valves. He put in a new water pump and fixed the valves. Air conditioner works great and there is no fluid leak from the water pump. Water pump was half the price of the air conditioner both for the parts and labor. He saved me a lot of money. What an honest guy. I recommend him to all my friends.”

The block was surfaced, new timing chain and guides, new radiator,2 new thermostats,new coolant fluid and all new gaskets..

“My skid plate and entire plastic protection pieces decided they no longer wanted to be on my vehicle and were dragging under my car. Stopped in for a quote. Before they even took a look at it they asked me if I wanted it removed which I did. They took the car in the back and had it less that 15 minutes. Brought it out and told me they will email me the quote in the morning. I asked if I owed them anything and they said no. So that was awesome. Got my quote the next day or was way cheaper than I thought it was going to be. Parts came in quick and they knocked the job out in hours. This is the second time I've used them and will be going back next time I have an issue. I highly recommend this shop.”

“Look if anyone is in need to get their car fixed look no further. I was recommended to A.B. Carnations to fix my car from an accident that someone had Rear ended me in. I spoke to the owner Greg and he was so helpful. I was so nervous from the accident, he help make everything so easy for me. I had to get a to hertz and had no way to get there, so he was nice enough to have one of his employees to take me and kids. Greg would call me with update and that was amazing. After getting my car back Greg explained everything in details what was done to my car. When I seen my cat it was like nothing had ever happened. To top it off they washed vacuumed and waxed the inside of my car. Thank you Greg I appreciate it.”

“I ran over something in the middle of road and broke the control arm and did some damage to other parts of that wheel area of my car. I was stuck in the middle of nowhere after most businesses were already closed. They were literally about to close but agreed to come out and take my car back to the shop and made sure I had a ride home. I had a friend coming to get me from about 20 miles away and they waited the entire time to make sure I was ok. Quoted me a completely reasonable price and did excellent work. I'm definitely using them in the future and the mechanic Oscar is legit, knowledgeable guy.”

“Gives me a great deal on an oil change even though other places charge an arm and a leg. Alberto will help you out as much as he can. It is a small business after all. He even checked my brakes at no extra cost when he changed my oil. Most places would usually charge just to do the same and try to up sell you a service you don’t need. Place could use a little tidying but that’s not a big deal since he takes good care of my ride.”

That they care about their work. They pointed stuff out to me that was above and beyond. They let me know that 2 of my skid plate bolts were missing and that my transfer case for my 4x4 had a slight leak but nothing to be super worried about yet. They were honest, caring and thorough. That’s what you want. Matt was the main guy that helped me out and I truly appreciate his solid work ethic and honesty with me. Very appreciated.”
