“We stayed at the Ayres while participating in a nearby soccer tournament. This was the first time staying at the Ayres and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, rooms were spacious, staff was friendly, and the breakfast was outstanding. The only knock would be the very small swimming pool, but with the beaches not far from us, that's not a big issue. We really enjoyed our stay!”

“The Pasadena craftsman architecture of Greene and Greene appears in accurate beauty throughout the Lodge, from guest rooms to hallways and lounges. The cuisine at A.R. Valentiens is wonderful, definitely a 5-star restaurant with beautiful settings for dining. The staff is cordial, efficient, and always remember us from previous visits. This is still our favorite lodge in the USA.”

“Great spot, you can’t get anymore ‘on the beach’ and I doubt you’ll find any better than this spot in Del Mat. Close to everything, the staff were very helpful, and the coffee machine is 10/10. A sparkling rose on arrival is a nice touch!! We stayed as a family of 4, and we highly recommend staying here, and dinner at Poseidon next door!”
“We love staying in Home2Suites when we travel. The Carlsbad location was great. It's clean from the lobby to our rooms. We didn't hear any outside noise. There was some heavy feet staying above us though. This is a great stay for families or couples. The large room and kitchenette make an extended stay very comfortable.”

“Amazing place! Can't get a better view. Right on the beach literally. Loved the staff, rooms and the included petite breakfast was delicious. Pool was heated and clean. Beach valet was attentive. They have a pillow menu! Only downside is you can't use the amenities until you actually have a room but they were able to check us in a few hours before regular check in. Can't wait to go back!”

A beautiful view of the garden from our Laguna room, peaceful, quiet, wonderful roof top patio, gorgeous flowers everywhere, loved the comfortable bed, the relaxing fireplace was most enjoyable and the very easy check in and out, so much better than a big busy crowded hotel. I wish we could come back much sooner.”

“This was our 3rd stay at Leucadia Beach Inn! This is a comfortable, clean, accommodation that is very near many local eateries/coffee shops and a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed morning walks to cafes and evening walks to the beach to watch the sunset. The gentleman that oversees the place is extremely friendly. The room has a kitchenette. We highly recommend staying here and we will always rebook when we return to the area.”

“I love this hotel. Stayed for 1 night and the room was clean, beds set up real nicely, and the bathroom was very fancy. Went to sleep on one of the very comfy beds and was overall a great night. To finish the experience, we had a yummy free breakfast at their buffet. Easy parking, nice staff, and little store full of snacks! This place easily gets 5 stars.”
“Motel is in need of some upgrading or renovation, but generally a nice place to stay. Quiet, friendly, very convenient to beach and town. Patio with grill is useful and they have beach equipment to borrow. Staff is great.”

- EV Charging, they have 6 Tesla Level 2 Chargers and they are at convenient spots (near the Door)
- Good Breakfast Options
- Sofa bed, that rolls out into a big bed.
- Decent restaurants nearby for Lunch/Dinner
- Service is prompt
Cons:
- We had a ground floor room and the kids in the pool were making a lot of noise
- The Queen bed and pillows we had were not Hard enough. They were soft and fluffy and not meant for adults.”

“We stayed at Alila Marea Encinitas for our babymoon and it exceeded every expectation. We absolutely loved our room—beautifully designed, peaceful, and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. We truly rested and relaxed, which is exactly what we were hoping for.
The heated pool during our stay was amazing and made lounging outside even better, especially with the ocean views. Every detail of the property felt thoughtful and luxurious without being over the top.
We also want to give a special shoutout to Milad, our valet driver and bellman. He was incredibly professional, always greeting us with a genuine smile and positive attitude. He consistently opened our car doors, escorted my wife and me into the property, and made us feel so well taken care of. To top it off, he even brought us chairs and towels down to the beach for sunset, which made the experience unforgettable.
Thank you to the entire Alila Marea team for making our babymoon so special. We can’t wait to come back.”

The woman at the front desk was friendly and courteous throughout, which made my stay even more enjoyable. Although some services have been reduced, I was still very satisfied. “Stayed here during a weekend city trip. The hotel is in a convenient area with access to public transport. My room was small but well-kept. There was a bit of noise from the hallway in the evening, but it didn’t bother me too much. The bathroom was compact, but everything worked fine. Breakfast had limited options, but what was there tasted okay. Staff were neutral but efficient. Decent if you're on a budget.”
“I had requested special room requirements and these were accurately entered by the reservation rep. When I checked in, Andrew reviewed my request and ensured that my room worked for me. I had a room overlooking the ocean and the amenities covered my needs for the stay. Andrew has an excellent customer service attitude and a great sense of humor. Later I asked him for more information about the area and he gave me help finding the items I needed for my work.
Later I dined in the restaurant and Craig was covering the bar and restaurant. He helped me alter my meal to accommodate special diet requirements. He checked in to make sure everything worked for me.
Overall the service met my needs, it's a great location and I would recommend this hotel.”

“We stayed at Hyatt House for a girls’ weekend and had such a fantastic experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was provided each morning — such a great way to start the day. Safety and a good night’s rest are so important to us, and this hotel delivered on both.
The highlight of our stay was Alan at the front desk. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly and set the tone for an amazing weekend. His customer service skills are truly exceptional — attentive, responsive, and always going above and beyond whenever we needed anything.
He’s also funny and very personable, making every interaction enjoyable. You can tell he genuinely cares about guests and takes pride in what he does. Alan is the definition of outstanding customer service. Thank you for taking care of us, Alan!”

“This was my third stay at this hotel. I will probably book again because of proximity to relatives in San Diego. However, especially in the summer, this hotel seems to be the choice for many youth sports teams in San Diego for tournaments. Not saying it's good or bad, it just is so know that going in. For that reason I have to remember to request a room not anywhere near the pool. It was very loud and crowded with teenagers at night even after 10PM. My wife and I would've enjoyed a late evening swim, but didn't bother because of this. So call to see what events are being held and get a room far from the pool.”

“Wonderful boutique hotel. We held a wedding and reception on the rooftop. Beautiful setting overlooking the ocean. No elevator to rooftop, which is a challenge for vendors during delivery and setup.”
