“We were delighted with this Inn. We were late getting thru LA and arrived late. Jai texted detailed instructions about late check in but was waiting for us when we got there. The attentive touches of tea and a healthy snack upon arrival were lovely.
Our feedback is the parking is a challenge. Otherwise the gardens are beautiful, peaceful and everything you could want in lodging. Breakfast was delicious and delivered to our door. Our only regret is not having more time to spend there. Thanks Jai.

“Fantastic experience at Moonlight Beach Motel, the location is close to the water, close to the strip and it has tons of old school motel charm. Everything was clean and well stocked! I would absolutely stay here again!!!”

“Perfect place to stay in Leucadia. Staff was super friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable and the inn had a great character to it. Easy walk to the beach and all of Leucadia’s fun bars, restaurants and shops. Great value for such a great spot”

“Overall a great stay! We really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. Our room was quiet, clean, and the perfect size for two adults.

The continental breakfast was generous and had a moderate variety of decent breakfast options - including yogurt/granola, three types of cereal, bread and pasteries, plus a variety of fresh fruit.

Primary reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is due to the bathroom shower. It was supposed to have one fixed showerhead and one flexible hose showerhead that could either be used separately or together. Ours was broken, meaning we were unable to switch between them and the issue also unevenly split the water pressure so both water streams were weak and made it difficult to rinse my hair.

The seals on the shower were also incorrectly installed, which made it difficult to keep the water in without soaking our towel mat.

Other than that, the bed and sheets were comfortable and we enjoyed watching the included cable tv after a long day walking around.

We recommend this hotel and would definitely return for a future stay.”

“We stayed at Alila Marea Encinitas for our babymoon and it exceeded every expectation. We absolutely loved our room—beautifully designed, peaceful, and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. We truly rested and relaxed, which is exactly what we were hoping for.

The heated pool during our stay was amazing and made lounging outside even better, especially with the ocean views. Every detail of the property felt thoughtful and luxurious without being over the top.

We also want to give a special shoutout to Milad, our valet driver and bellman. He was incredibly professional, always greeting us with a genuine smile and positive attitude. He consistently opened our car doors, escorted my wife and me into the property, and made us feel so well taken care of. To top it off, he even brought us chairs and towels down to the beach for sunset, which made the experience unforgettable.

Thank you to the entire Alila Marea team for making our babymoon so special. We can’t wait to come back.”

“Very happy we chose this hotel while in the area for some medical tests. VERY clean, VERY safe, VERY pleasant and accommodating staff, VERY conveniently located, VERY good price. VERY well lit at night for coming and going. VERY quiet. We would be happy to stay there again. Thank you!!”

“Room was great except for the shower itself. Like, it was recently renovated, but the renovation could have been better. The best part of the room was honestly the sound deadening of the outside. Our room faced the freeway and you couldn't hear anything unless is was right at the door.

The complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious. The pool - although a bit small - was kept clean as well.

Being on the 3rd floor, have a great view of the ocean.

Overall, the hotel was a great experience to my overall trip.”

“I think they are a bit overpriced by the looks of the room,somewhat updated since they used to be a Best Western. Great balcony, nice pool tho not heated. Nice breakfast by the pool, restaurant is under construction. Ocean view in some areas,partial in others. Beds extremely comfortable. Showers only idk about ground floors. The grounds are well kept and landscaped. All and all it was a great stay and I'd come again.”

“I booked 3 days here an I want to say it was great . Pool is close but who needs a pool wen there is a really nice beach down the street check is easy an fast zero hassle . The only issue is say Internet is slow an tv can be tricky besides those 2 things everything else was great . I’d recommend an will be coming back .”
