“Delightful! We took a 25-minute tour with docent Steve. He pointed out and explained so much that I have a new appreciation for all musical instruments even though I can't even play spoons! We ended up staying an hour. The hands-on room was a lot of fun handling the variety of instruments. I had no idea how heavy an electric guitar is...wow! A visit to this museum is well worth the time and money! Children are welcome and there is a room for them to handle instruments.”
“My daughter (kindergarten) attended the Fall Science Camp at SD Lab Rats, and she absolutely LOVED it! Every day she came home excited, with something fun to show and new science concepts to share. In just three short days, her love for science exploded! She’s always enjoyed doing “experiments” at home, but after camp, she couldn’t stop talking about chemical reactions and physical changes. She even said she wished Thanksgiving wasn’t coming so she could go back to camp.
The instructors and staff were passionate, friendly, and engaging. Huge shout-out to Miss Butterfly, the Merrill brothers, and the entire team for making science so fun for the kiddos! The space is clean, well-organized, and in a great location.
Thank you for giving her three unforgettable days, she may very well become a scientist one day! We can’t wait to come back for future camps. Highly recommend SD Lab Rats to any parent looking for a fun, educational experience for their kids!”
“The Mission Church is a second home to me! I have been attending for a couple years now. After exploring many churches in Carlsbad, The Mission Church stands out for many reasons. Pastor David and JC have a strong reverence for the Bible and teach it very well. They clearly study the Word very deeply and teach the Word with a strong reverence. I have learned so much while attending this church. I was saved before I started attending, but the teaching I have received from The Mission has reignited my faith and strengthened my relationship with the Lord exponentially. Pastor David preaches the Bible in a way that illuminates how deeply God loves us. Pastor David also strongly encourages the congregation to study The Word for themselves and that has helped me make my faith my own. Another reason why I respect The Mission so much is they practice what they preach. Although there are complaints about The Mission being too political, I believe the Church should be speaking out against injustices and Pastor David and JC are very brave to speak truth despite making some people feel uncomfortable. I met my husband there, I have made life-long friendships there, and gained mentors there as well. The staff is clearly devoted to serving the Lord and care deeply for the congregation. Pastor JC leads an amazing Young Adults program that has changed the lives of many Young Adults, including myself. Their Women’s Ministry is extremely edifying and special as well. This is a Holy Spirit filled church and I am so grateful to have found The Mission!”

“The Village Clubhouse is the best place for our kids to be in Carlsbad! It’s the best example of a diverse & inclusive environment , both in terms of the children attending and the staff. The summer, spring and winter programs are affordable and my children have loved all of the fun field trips and opportunities provided. The building is part of the foundation of the City of Carlsbad and I couldn’t be happier with how down-to-earth and committed the supervisors are. My children not only point out and run to say hi to Brince and Abby at the Club, but they also do so when we see them out in public. To me, that shows that the kids really do matter to them. We love the Boys & Girls Club and are looking forward to summer camp!”

We are going to miss all of you so much when we move out of state next month. I highly recommend this class ! My daughter is a Special Education student with focus on behavioral issues, but at the YMCA, you would never know that she has any challenges by watching her with her class. Thank you for treating all kids equally by focusing their energy on something positive and teaching them that with hard work and commitment, any obstacle can be overcome.”

“I was sold a lab diamond and when I was getting it appraised for insurance purposes, I was told that it was a lab diamond but that it would be best to send to the lab to get a report. I created an account online, sent it via USPS, insured it and in about 2 weeks I had the diamond back and a report. GIA confirmed it was a CVD lab diamond.”
