“Decent sized plant nursery with a variety of indoor and outdoor plants. I've stopped here a few times to expand my succulent collection. If you like string succulents there is a large selection. I've been searching for a string of turtles and workers found me a nice one. Prices are better than large brand stores. Be sure to check out the large friendly dog near the cashier and cozy parrot nearby.”

“I just visited Ganter Nursery in Vista—what an incredible experience! I picked up some gorgeous roses, fragrant herbs, and a beautiful hanging basket for my home. Every plant looked vibrant, healthy, and clearly well cared for.

The staff was absolutely wonderful—so kind and knowledgeable. They helped me choose the best options for my space and gave great advice on plant care. On top of that, the prices were surprisingly affordable for the high quality you get.

Their selection is fantastic! Whether you're looking for roses, succulents, herbs, fruit trees, non-fruit trees, passionflower vines, or shade-loving plants, they have it all. I highly recommend this nursery to anyone from beginner plant parents to seasoned gardeners. Can’t wait to go back for more!”

“Walking into Planter Sam’s shop almost took my breath away. It’s packed with plants whose healthy leaves glisten in many shades of green and yellow. Such a variety of plants and sizes. I was given lots of helpful information on sun, potting and temperature from Sam, her husband and other clerks on my two visits this month. There were lots of pot colors and sizes. I am so glad I had one of the plants repotted for me by staff. The other two smaller ones I did at home but the convenience is well worth the minimal charge. I really like the small macrame hanging I bought to fill in a bare corner. And I picked up a unique birthday card with a garden theme. I’m so glad this lovely small-business is in my San Marcos neighborhood — but it’s easy to get to from anywhere in north county. Value - selection - customer service - easy parking — ALL 5-star.”

“Lplantplay Gardens is a quaint retailer for one-of-a-kind live indoor and outdoor plants. The owner is very knowledgeable and very engaging and helpful.
I purchased a birthday gift for my self, Cereus forbesii cv. Spiralis, a.k.a. Spiral Cactus, a unique addition I have covoted for quite some time. It was priced decently for the size $65 for a 12" tall plant). My friend purchased 3 indoor plants (Hoyas).
Even though the entire showroom is indoors, there were several plants available that are traditionally considered outdoor plants (in So. Cal) including: many succulents and cacti, caudiciforms, even a Hibiscus moscheutos hybrid. The plants I saw were healthy and did not see to be struggling or suffering.
Overall, I recommend stopping by and checking out the curated collection of plants offered here and support small business!”

“Beautiful nursery. Unfortunately, there were no begonias to dig up this year. But there's a wide variety of gorgeous flowering plants, herbs, and cactus. There are goats and pigs that you can visit too. Very reasonable prices. Love this place.”

He even gave me some advice on a plant I’ve had bad luck with in the past. I also love that they do all of their propagations on site, including a really nice selection of special orchids. Mike was very patient with us as we took many decisions on where to plant items; he provided hands on advice on the new irrigation work, including doing a last minute check to make sure all of the new plantings had the right amount of irrigation. “Really glad we found this place! We came looking for outdoor patio plants (almost missed the entrance, it looks like a driveway at first glance) and were very pleased with what we came home with. Affordable prices and the owner was so helpful in answering our questions, helping us select the plants that met our needs (we were looking for tall narrow plants that could create some privacy between our patio and our neighbor's), and in helping us pack the plants for safe transport home. You can park your car in the customer parking lot, which will remain unlocked and free for you to come back at any hour of the day or night to pick up your car later. The man who was working inside was super helpful and friendly. I did not feel intimidated by the process of renting, picking up, or asking questions. The pick up process here took about 10 minutes, and I was on my way! I recommend scheduling ahead of time, online, for a fast, easy, pre-paid pick up! That's what I did. I will always pick Penske from now on! Penske is the only company that has unlimited miles for one-way trips.”

“Amalia’s Succulent is my kind of nursery.Whimsical grounds and a great array of gifts and plants. Huge nursery and helpful workers, the succulents are bountiful and affordable. My only concern is I have only been here once , even though I wanted to come here all the time there is no way for me to come from Monday to Friday as I’m working full time from 8am to 4pm, and on weekends they are not open which is mostly plant parents are off work and that is the day for them to do their garden projects , I would suggest to have the weekends open so we can maximize our time and maybe the staff can have their day off on Monday and Tuesday which will give them time too to do their errands on a weekday. And still good for the business and good for plant parents. I don’t know where I can come here again because of their business hours until then I can check out more nurseries that is open on weekends in the surrounding area which also offers the same quality of plants.”

“This nursery is top notch with the largest fruit tree selection I have personally ever seen . My girlfriend and I went on a tour and we had a great time. We are adding new fruit trees at our place and wanted to know what exactly to get and Steve and Dan were beyond helpful . I've never had a better time at a nursery, and I've been to quite a few . Thank you for your knowledge and expertise guys you didn't disappoint.”

“I have been shopping at this nursery often for the last year primarily because of the tremendous Customer Service I have received from Gillian. She is the one that is always there on Saturdays and Sundays. As far as I can tell, this feeling is shared by most every customer (new or repeat customer). Sometimes the wait is a little longer because Gillian is so thorough in answering customer questions. In my case, she has also taught me a great deal about succulents and cacti. I strongly recommend visiting this stand, it is a wonderful experience.”

“This place is insane it is a wholesale nursery so don't come here expecting to be able to buy a plant you have to have a business license in a resale number and you have to purchase at least $450 or more of stuff. This place is a nursery that sells to other nurseries that people buy from. Having said that if you have a business license and a business selling plants this place is absolutely insane they specialize in rare cactus and succulents there really is not another like it and they've been around for over 60 years. In order to make a reservation to come visit call in person and leave a message and they will get back to you explain what it is that exactly you're after if you do show up without calling show up to the office and speak to the owner and worker.”

“This guy is at the Thursday Oceanside Farmer's Market now! If you're wondering why his brick-and mortar store has poor hours, this is probably one of the reasons why. This business breathed new life into my opinion of farmers markets- in a world where buying local is now typically more expensive than going to chain grocery stores, the prices here are very modest. I am super happy! He had mini succulent gardens for 3$, hanging plants at 10$ each or 2 for 15. I found a bird nest fern for 15$, including taxes. There is a 50-cent credit card usage fee, and that's certainly reasonable. While I do look forward to shopping at his actual nurseries, I will happily make weekly pilgrimages to the Oceanside Farmer's Market to see what he has to sell.”

“I have to share John the Opening Manager went above and beyond to take care of our home delivery. As with any business, from time to time not everything runs smoothly. We hit a few road blocks. Each time John helped us with the best customer service possible. I measure a "quality business" that values their customers a 100% of the time. Just not when everything is going well. How John handled our delivery hiccups. Shows us he genuinely care and takes pride in his work! His team Nat and Alan were great as well! We will continue to shop the Vista Home Depot with John and his team.”

“This is the best Home Depot that I have ever been in. I am a woman and usually I go in and I don't get the friendly service because I'm not a contractor. This Home Depot is totally different! I had three different people help me today, and they were all so professional and kind and helpful. The woman that helped me with where to get my keys made, I think the man that was making my key said she used to work for the airport because when I'm walking down the aisle and I don't know where to go she could see that and she said that a customer needs help in the key department at the end cap and that helped me know where exactly to go. A gentleman was helping me locate a product that he said only ships to the store or to me from the Home Depot website but he was so kind and friendly and the man that made my keys was funny and kind and professional. I will never go to another Home Depot other than this one it is my favorite it is the friendliest and they know customer service. I've been to the one in Poway and no one offered to help me there I had to go find people and they seem like they were frustrated but not this location in Oceanside on Vista way they are amazing and I would give 10 Stars if I could”
