“I want to express tremendous gratitude for Tina, the manager at the Oceanside, Vista Way, Home Depot, for providing one of the best customer service experiences our family has ever had. While we were trying out beach chairs, my 7-year-old daughter accidentally hit her head. Tina immediately came over to make sure she was okay. After checking on her, she went and got an ice pack, and when she realized my daughter needed another, she quickly brought a second one. She stayed attentive throughout, checking on her, bringing her a lollipop to cheer her up, and thoughtfully giving one to my other kids so no one was left out.

What impressed me most was watching her lead. She was clearly managing the store, coordinating with her team, handling her responsibilities, yet she gave our family her full attention. She never made us feel rushed or like we were interrupting. She even took time to show us how to properly adjust the chairs.

At the register, the system alerted us that the chairs had been flagged and couldn’t be sold, but that didn’t diminish our experience at all; we still purchased other items. As the co-founder and president of a chain of medical clinics, I’ve worked with leaders for many years.

And it’s rare to see someone balance operational excellence with genuine compassion the way Tina does. Her leadership and heart left a lasting impression on all of us.
