“Went the weekend before Thanksgiving. Needed to tri tip. Unfortunately, it was BOGO. Staff saved me 2 as I drove over. Prices were very good for food. Employees were friendly and asked if they could help. Fresh food looked good quality, as did the meats. Everything we bought was great. Wish I had gone back here for groceries instead of the very spendy Safeway- and yes, I did use my card at Safeway. Lucky was a gem.”

“Decided to get a breakfast burrito here before my doctors appointment. Review is strictly for the deli department, this is just about the best breakfast you can have, if you want it fast that is. It's always fresh, delicious, 100% recommend always. Truthfully I could eat one of their breakfast burritos from Safeway every morning if calories weren't real. Great breakfast overall, and very filling. They have tons of options you can choose from; bacon, sausage or ham or you can have all three to make it a trio - thank you!”
“Today, I walked over to the floral department at Carmel Safeway and was cheerfully greeted by Aurora and asked if I needed help with anything. I have never been acknowledged before while floral shopping, so I felt extremely welcomed. Aurora helped me pick out a couple of small plants and a balloon for a friend's birthday. I can be pretty indecisive, but she helped so much by asking me the right questions and helping me pick the healthiest looking flowers. Her enthusiasm for helping me find the right gift was extremely appreciated. She went above and beyond with her customer service, and I will not need to think twice before coming back next time I need any plants or flowers, and I will be recommending this Safeway's floral department to everyone I know! “The store has recently been purchased and the not so friendly previous owners are no longer involved or around. The new owners are super nice and really cool people. The store is super clean now and has so much new product to offer. Organic, local, eco friendly, climate change friendly and fresh. They really are doing their part to make the world a better place and bringing a fresh new store to the beautiful town of Carmel by the Sea. If you have never been, you should check it out and if you have, you should give the store another try. You will be pleasantly surprised with what you find. Nielsen Brothers Market is a long time staple of the city and I'm so happy to see all the positive changes they are making.”
