“As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives Thriller Series, I always enjoy visiting standout bookstores while traveling, and Barnes & Noble in Manhattan Beach is a super nice location.

The store has a broad, open layout with lower shelving that lets you see across the space, giving it a welcoming and easy-to-navigate feel.

There’s a huge children’s area along with a very nice café space. One detail that stands out is the wraparound mural featuring well-known authors, which adds character and makes the interior feel more engaging.

The overall setup is clean and thoughtfully designed, making it a comfortable place to browse and spend time.

I also spent a few minutes in the romance section while writing The Maui Desire Romance Series, and it’s a well-organized area that fits nicely alongside the thriller shelves.

The staff has been friendly and helpful, and the surrounding shopping center is very well kept with plenty of parking, which makes visiting easy.

Overall, it’s a strong Barnes & Noble in Manhattan Beach with a great layout, inviting atmosphere, and a solid selection.”

“I had a great experience at Easy Does It - Books & Gifts. I stopped in for Father's Day shopping and found exactly what I was looking for. I bought a beautiful bracelet for a special woman who fills both mother and father roles, and a deck of Big Book quote cards as a Father's Day gift. The prices were very reasonable, and I was happy with the quality of everything I purchased.

What impressed me most was the variety and depth of what they carry. They have a wonderful selection of recovery literature, books, gifts, and unique items that go well beyond just AA materials. “Must-stop for anyone who's an art-nerd of the illustration, or animation variety. I was so excited to finally have an opportunity to visit the shop in person and it didn't disappoint. Everywhere you turn there's something incredible to check out. Don't miss the long boxes of artist sketchbooks under the shelves of what's on display! It's easy to tell the staff takes pride in the curation of the books they have on offer.

The staff was super helpful, and very nice. I had a great conversation with Terrance, who was affable, and kindly offered to help make it easy to get books into my hands since I live out of state.

“The Del Amo Fashion Center Bookoff is a gem for nerds looking for out of print manga series and anime merch that's disappeared from other stores. But I want to use this review to give a shout out to all the hard working folks there. Y'all helped me search your store for Pretty Derby Merchandise, when I know nothing about the series except there's anime girls with horse ears. And then, Christopher went out of his way to help me find more within the mall itself. A superlative experience all around despite the labyrinthine mall.

This store always has a lot of cute merchandises.
From books, poetry, postcards, travel guides, creative notebooks to little pins, key chains, dolls (I bought piggy, bear, and the cutest penguin I’ve ever seen), and these cups. I feel I could always find interesting things here, which can brighten my eyes.
Plus, LAX is so boring, no any competitor makes it a more fun place to visit.”

“I recently visited New Life Christian Bookstore about two weeks ago while searching for a Bible for my wife. I had been looking online but couldn’t find anything that really stood out to me. When I searched for local options, I was surprised to find this bookstore less than a mile from my home, so I decided to stop by—and I’m so glad I did.
From the moment I walked in, the environment felt peaceful and welcoming. It’s a smaller bookstore, but honestly, that’s part of what makes it special. I’d much rather support a local business that serves the community than just order something online.
They had a great selection of Bibles, and I ended up choosing a beautiful purple one for my wife. What made it even more meaningful was the engraving—they were able to add her name to it. There is a small fee, which is completely expected, but the result was absolutely worth it. The engraving is done on Thursdays when Gloria is there, and she did an amazing job.
My wife absolutely loves her new Bible. Her previous one had been damaged, so this meant a lot to her—and to me. Seeing her joy every time we go to church now makes the experience even more special.
There’s something different about being able to walk into a place, hold the Bibles, flip through them, and truly connect with what you’re choosing, instead of just ordering online and hoping for the best.
Overall, it was a beautiful experience. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re looking for a Bible or any Christian materials. Supporting a local business that honors our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ just makes it that much more meaningful. Amen.”

“This place is beautiful gem packed to the brim with interesting stationery, pens, stamps, trinkets, manga, plushies, puzzles, and more. Every inch of space is used for products. Really, the only downside is that if you are claustrophobic, this place is not for you.

The prices are fair and competitive with what you would find online. The perks are that everything is in person and theres something more rewarding to trying and holding the products physically. Everytime I've shopped here, the staff has been polite and I have so much fun browsing.”

“We recently visited Alabadle store, and were very impressed by the variety of books, CD's, gifts and other items so appropriate and beautiful for the home or gift giving. The customer service lady who was there at the time of our visit was very kind, friendly and helpful with our needs. The store is clean, ample and no one is rushing you to buy anything. We did buy a lovely item and will definitely go back soon, as Christmas is going to be here sooner than we expect, and the gift variety here is truly awesome.
