“Fun shopping atmosphere. Great prices. Delicious food. It's probably my favorite store for groceries.

Parking lot can fill up depending on day and time you go.

Also, very helpful employees! If you don't know where something is, or if they still have it, just ask!!!

Additionally, there isn't much risk in buying something new. They will take back anything you don't like, or anything that may not be of the best quality when you open it (very rare this happens).

We can't tell you how much we love this store!

P. S. Their employees really care! I've never seen such empathy from workers before.”

“A fabulous gourmet supermarket. They have a buffet of vegetables, stews, olives, soups... all exquisite. You serve yourself, you pay at the register and you can eat at the bar that is in the same supermarket or you can eat at the tables in the square. I recommend it to you.”

“I enjoy shopping here. The store is neat and has everything you'd need from pastries to groceries. They take EBT here and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this store for purchasing groceries, especially on a budget or with CalFresh.”

“This Smart & Final location is a couple miles away from my home, but if need, I would drive to it despite the inconvenience (distance). It’s those traffic lights I have to go through just to get to this location.

This is still my go-to store for bulk items, primarily for special occasions. Between Chula Vista Costco or Smart & Final, it would be a toss up. I have to be in the mood to shop at either. Nonetheless, Smart & Final is still good for many reasons (price, stock, quality, cleanliness, and less crowds)??

Dislike: parking is too small and tight to drive out and about at this location

As for staff, nothing spectacular to note but they are readily available at the registers”

“Well stocked and clean neighborhood supermarket that has a nice bakery
section as well as a fresh meat section. Great place for produce and fruits as well. Friendly staff and efficient service. Good place to shop.”

“This is a great store that is only ruined by the wild packs of kids running amok from the nearby high school and middle schools before and after school hours. Theft is rampant, and these kids have no conscience or consequences, unfortunately. Things I like about this location: It is still fairly easy to find parking here, even with the addition of Habit Burger and Urbane Cafe to the mall. As previously mentioned, I avoid this mall just before and after school hours on the weekdays. It is not worth the crowds and headache. The store is organized, clean, and the employees are fairly pleasant. I like that they send me coupons in the mail. They have a points program that you can use for discounts off of Shell gas prices. The one time I used my points, I only got 20 cents off/gallon. The best thing I like about this Ralph's is the clearance baked goods. Go in the morning and you can find some nice day old breads, cakes, muffins, pies, etc. for half off or more.”

“I am writing this review specifically because the man at the tortilla shop was super friendly. Congratulations for the good service. All the employees at this carnival are friendly, but this man was more than normal.”

“First time at this store. Very clean and well stocked, items arrangement is weird though-was looking for shower gel and soap and they usually are next to shampoos and other personal hygiene products, kept looking and walked around the isle twice, and they’re in the pharmacy section! Really? Doesn’t make any sense. Got a bit annoyed to be honest.

The cashier was very polite, friendly and attentive so was the lady bagging the items. Great service”

“Better quality meats and lower prices than at Vons. Besides, they have real butchers in the meat department that let you have the cuts of meats the way you want. Tender & more flavorful for sure! Friendy customer service as well!”

“Well they have closed the self paid section which creates a longer wait to pay at the cashier.
it reopen again it had been there for over a year and a half everything back on track”

“There is a lack of staff, since the waiting time to make the payment for the purchase is often excessive. In addition there is a lack of personnel
Bilingual and for the most part, cordial and friendly attention.”

“Wonderful collection of Non-Alcoholic wines…
Some are as low as $7.99/bottle and some are Kosher!

“Albertsons – 3rd & J St, Chula Vista
I might be a little biased with this review — I actually worked at this location back when it was still Lucky’s, before Albertsons took over in 1999! But even after all these years, it’s still a pleasure to walk into this store.

The employees are always friendly and helpful, and the store is consistently super clean and well-organized. It’s easy to find what you’re looking for, and the layout just makes sense.

One feature I especially love is the DMV kiosk inside — such a convenient touch that saves time and hassle. The produce and meat are always fresh, and you can tell the team here takes pride in maintaining quality throughout the store.

Whether I’m stopping in for a quick grocery run or just enjoying the nostalgia, shopping at this Albertsons is always a great experience.”

“Mirage Liquor Store is my go-to spot for all my beverage needs. They have a fantastic selection of both domestic and imported liquors, beers, and wines. I especially love their liquor mix bags, which offer a variety of different drinks at different price points starting at just $14.99. The owner is always friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and well-organized. I highly recommend Mirage Liquor Store to anyone looking for a great selection of drinks at competitive prices.”

“This is our neighborhood convenience store. And let's talk about convenience... they have it ALL! The gentlemen that work there are always very nice guys, and there hasn't been a single time that I went there for a last minute item for a recipe and they didn't have what we were looking for. It's so conveniently located for us not by any major grocery stores so it's nice because you're in and out with what you need. Items are a little bit more than a regular grocery store of course, but not overpriced like vons”

“This is the go-to spot for fresh nixtamalized corn tortillas. You might have to wait in line, but the quality and taste are there, making these tortillas perfect for everyday meals, whether it’s tacos, quesadillas, caldos, or any family gathering.”

Every corner of the store is spotless, from the gleaming floors to the tidy shelves. The restrooms are also well-maintained, adding to the overall positive impression of the store. In summary, the grocery store on East Palomar in Chula Vista is a model of excellent customer service, well-stocked shelves, and exceptional cleanliness. “Good place to go if you're staying close and don't want to go anywhere far. Good selection of hot food and prepped for a fast lunch or dinner. It is a pricey alternative to Walmart tho”

“I forgot to call in my husband's blood thinner meds and he was out of refills. I went to the pharmacy the Saturday before Christmas to see if they could advance a few pills until Tuesday. I've had to do this once before and the pharmacist gave me a hard time. That was a different pharmacy crew. The pharmacist this time, Aya, was extremely understanding and advanced a couple of pills. She didn't make a big deal out of it or scold me for not calling it in earlier. I was a pharmacy tech for 30 years and Aya would have been a joy to work with.”
