“I love all Trader Joe's. Bought a huge cart full of fresh and frozen groceries. Cost me just over $200. For some that might sound like a lot but usually when I go to the regular Market the same thing would have cost me well over $300.”

“Neighborhood market. Great place to shop for most things. Friendly and helpful staff. I usually buy the salmon (BBQ cut), kosher ground beef, kosher chicken breast for schnitzels. Summer time fruits are fantastic, from plumcots to small watermelons to peaches and nectarines. My only complaint is the berries tend to go bad fast at home. High-quality and affordable floral and plant section; orchids are a great gift at a very reasonable price.”
“Amazing food. First off sandwiches I eat every bite leaving no crumbs. When I got braces I switched to the soups and a mildy toasted roll and my stomach didnt suffer at all. I am really going to miss this place being on my route for work. Rome is so kind she puts all the love in their food.”

“Speacialty produce was nice. It was freezing in there and i wasnt dressed appropriately. They had a sign that read 'Welcome to Siberia'. I bought a few varieties of heirloom tomatoes..and that was the best part of my day. The bathroom was basic but clean.”

It’s one of the few places I can go to for the purposes of grocery shopping and wind up browsing a bunch of fun Japanese home goods instead.
Great prices, great selection, always a good variety of fresh foods (sashimi and ready to eat packs), clean, and great service (shout out to Ren who’s always the most helpful and knowledgeable).
I always go here first when I need Japanese goods, then Mitsuwa then Nijiya when there’s something they don’t have.”
“Came in today for French butter. Got the butter and a baguette and was warned by the gentlemen at the counter that my life would never be the same after trying the butter on the warmed baguette.
He was right. AMAZING!
I'm now in need of a side gig to support my butter habit.

“Zion Market is one of my favorite places to shop! They have a great selection of fresh fish, meat, produce, and Asian groceries, including so many ingredients that can be hard to find elsewhere.
I especially love the seafood section and the variety of Asian foods and snacks. There is always something interesting to discover, and I usually leave with much more than I planned.

“I’ve been shopping at Grocery Outlet Point Loma for years. They consistently have an excellent selection of organic produce, quality meats, and occasional hard-to-find items like New Zealand lamb. The red wine selection is surprisingly good, and there’s a gentleman there who is always helpful with recommendations and questions.
I always check the first couple aisles for practical kitchen gadgets and usually leave with a few greeting cards for the year ahead. Fair prices, friendly staff, and a well-run store. Hard to ask for much more than that.”

“Carnival Supermarket is a hidden gem in Clairemont. If you love all things Mexican like I do then this is the spot. Fresh made tortilla, extensive hot bar & cold bar offering carne asada, chicharron, beans, rice, chicken, guacamole, several different house made salsas, ceviche, and so much more. Their roasted chicken is juicy and full of flavor. Beautiful bakery, produce, fruits, fresh squeezed juices. The meat department offers great beef, poultry, pork and seafood. The staff is super nice and so helpful. This is my go to market. Don’t miss the big dill pickles available in the meat department. They are the bomb.”

Wanted organic fruits and vegetables. Some vegetables looked tired and some looked healthy. Love how they have international foods and spices. I wanted to buy the dried food but the labels didn’t have labels of ingredients and nutritional values. Need labels with ingredients and nutrition amounts.
Allergic to sulfates and preservatives. Need labels please 😊”
