“My favorite local charity. They ably bring food security and other securities to downtrodden people locally. I wish they had the magic bullet solution to the overall issue of being downtrodden, but they are definitely the local rock stars in this arena for their niche specialty. Go WPE!”

“Keep in mind, as with All Moose Lodges, they are open to Moose Members ONLY and their qualified guests. Having said that, if you meet that criteria, you MUST stop in this Lodge! It's an awesome place to get a bite, a drink, socialize, or just chill.”

“Awesome place for special needs people to go each day. Loving, caring people work with them. They learn different skills, go on outings, play and have fun. I drive for Keolis transportation, pick up at home, take to program and home again. The staff is the greatest. Keolis is looking for drivers. I've been driving them for 28 years and love watching the excitement and smiles when they arrive at their program.”

“Amazing people and wonderful place, full of resources and folks can get items critical for survival, especially now with the plight many families and individuals are facing. Food is available for pickup 3 days each week, every week if needed, from 9am-12pm, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and the Food Bank occasionally, once maybe twice each month brings an extra truck loaded with fresh produce and it's quite good and greatly appreciated. The people are so nice, services fairly comprehensive, and they do special things around the holidays and have special representatives from time to time as well as lots of information about available services in this county and surrounding ones also. Thanks, Monument Crisis Center, and for anyone who doubts that they're not anyone out there who cares, go there; it will change your mind. Kaz”

“We have been at Pixie for a few years and LOVE it. The kids feel so special there and like it's a family. The play-based education is exactly what I was looking for as someone who has had a career in early childhood education. The kids have been so excited about all the themes and I've seen their language and knowledge just explode since enrolling. I love being able to BE in the classroom once a week working there with them...that's not going to fly when they get older LOL. The other requirements of parents (since it's a co-op) are really easy and spread out all year.”

“Our 3.5-year-old Frenchie jumped off our bed and ruptured a disc. Griffin couldn't walk or stand up on his own. His legs were becoming more stiff as the hours went on. The local vet in Napa said we needed a neurologist and sent us for emergency care at SAGE in Redwood City. They told us that he was becoming paralyzed and that we needed to get him an MRI ($3000) and an aggressive back surgery that was only an 80% chance he recovers from this. That would cost us approx $18,000 dollars. Not to mention the aftercare costs. If we couldn't do that, then we should euthanize him humanely there that day. We cried it out and begged for an alternative so they sent us home with a gloomy diagnosis that the steroids will probably not help and to have him put down if he become fully paralyzed and struggled with his breathing. We were trying to figure out what else could be done and our family friend messaged us with Linda from Bay area Animal rescue crews information. Linda from BAY AREA ANIMAL RESCUE CREW called us and immediately suggested we take Griffin to Concord, Alpine Vet Hospital. That night we showed up to the Clinic at 6pm (they have great hours for working families too! )Linda Greeted us and took us in to meet Dr Freeman who in detail explained this Hib Laser that could help Griffin to walk again for hundreds of dollars not thousands!!!! He also did a few tests in front of us to test Griffin's reflexes. And he quickly was able to explain Parysis vs Paralysed. Griffin had a shot. And the Vet scheduled 7 visits for this HIb laser in a matter of 2 weeks. After the first treatment, it was clear we had some results. Griffin who was not lifting his head on his own, left the clinic with his head up! Linda called us that night for after care and to make sure we were doing everything in our power to give him the best chance. She double-checked our meds. She advised on what food we should be feeding him. (he wasn't eating at the time) her suggestions and help did not go in vain. I truly believe she is a godsend for our Griffin and for us. We kept him on the Steriods and he's been on some anti-inflammatories and pain meds for the last 27 days. I am happy to report Griffin is 90% better! He still doesn't take the stairs or do any jumping (we will be limiting that for a long time ) But he is walking with the occasional stumble. I feel like Linda and the Rescue crew and Dr Virk and Dr Freeman and the rest of the staff at Alpine are a Group of people who deserve this praise. And a BIG HUGE THANK YOU! OUR family is healed and this help means more to us than I can put in this review! They were kind to us and helped us as if it was their dog suffering! I will be singing your praise for years to come. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts !”

“I am very thankful for my Stand family. Stand has helped me for everything with my son and myself. I got safe house, they prepared me to go to transitional housing to start my process to become independent. For the time it was needed they provided me with food. Stand made me stronger and lifted me up when I fell down. They connected me with a good attorney. The people who works at the shelter Crisis line advocates and Case workers , everyone were nice and kind with me because I respect them and they respectful people too. I am free now and safe got a voucher through Stand. I learned English I' graduated College. All I got is good hearted human beens that want to help othersI have received services from 2019 2022 and I am happy living a free life because they gave me the opportunity to be part of Stand family. I utilized this time and their efforts to support me to be better in life and I thank God for it and of course Stand too for accepting me. Is important to know that you have to respect their time because Stand workers do it with love but sometimes people is not prepared for that neither know what love looks like .”

“Nine years ago I moved to the East Bay with my family & began the process of trying to find activities to put my kids in. In searching around I started to get discouraged because I was priced out of pretty much every activity I could find. Until my neighbor recommended CYC & I am forever grateful to her for that. Once I looked further into the sports offered in addition to the affordable price, I knew that we would be members for a long time. Our CYC journey began with my son, he didn’t know what he was interested in so we started trying out a couple of different sports. First, trying taekwondo & eventually he switched over to wrestling. Although he isn’t a member anymore due to his lack of interest in sports, I was thrilled that there was a place for him to try out a few different things & it didn’t cost me a lot & there was no long term commitment for him.As soon as my youngest turned three years old we started enrolling her in activities at CYC as well. She has taken classes in dance (tap/ballet), soccer, gymnastics, wrestling & a few years ago she found her passion in cheer. Now she is in her fourth year on one of CYC’s competitive cheer teams. In addition to practice, she takes a tumbling class, flyers class, a strength & conditioning class & gets private lessons from one of her fantastic coaches twice a month. We are at CYC four days a week, you would think that would be enough, but it's not! She eagerly awaits the two Fridays a month she can go to an open gym that is hosted by the cheer program. She has also attended several summer camps for cheer. She absolutely loves being at the gym & spending time with her CYC family, whether it is hanging out before, after or during her activities or while we are on the road at their competitions. It is truly that, a family. Not only does CYC have a great selection of classes to choose from but they also care about their members as a whole. The staff & coaches are so kind and helpful. Every interaction I’ve had with any member of the staff has been positive & I am so impressed by how they try to learn of all the members' names, so they can address them personally. It really makes you feel like your child is a part of their family. In addition to everything I’ve said above, I love that kids can come here and get help with their schoolwork. Although my children have never utilized the AE programs I have always been thrilled that it was there as an option.CYC plays such a pivotal role in our community. In a time when things were uncertain and crazy, CYC remained a constant in my family’s lives. The staff at CYC did an amazing job pivoting when everything closed down due to the Covid pandemic & found a way to continue to foster the love of sports in the lives of the kids they serve. Without the awesome programs offered here I can honestly say my kids wouldn’t have had the opportunity to try out different sports to see what would light a spark in them.I love how the staff here continues to try & introduce new activities for its members, from adding new sports to offering enrichment classes & fun events.CYC is worth checking out, as it offers so much to our youth & at such a reasonable price that you cannot find anywhere else. There truly is no other place like CYC.”
