3350 Avenue of the Arts, Costa Mesa“The TL;DR is that this is a quality hotel, great service and location. I dinged one star because I felt the attached restaurant to be overly priced.Rooms: The room I had was great. Small balcony to stand out and take in the SoCal weather, nice little working area, good water pressure and hot enough water temps, and the hard wood flooring was great to walk on (carpeted hotel flooring gives me the creeps to walk barefoot).Walkability: This being a business trip the location was great.Walking distance to the WeWork offices, to a variety of restaurants and the mall, and a short Uber ride to the John Wayne airport.Food & drinks: This is where I dinged a star. I only had breakfast at the attached Silver Trumpet restaurant, but nearly $30 into breakfast (including tip) I had a coffee and a single item plate for it. No sides, and no protein. Was the french toast good? Yes, but not $28 good.”

Javier works the front desk and the lady that works the bar(can't remember the name) has ways made sure that my time there was immaculent! Will be returning next time I'm in town!”

2430 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa“This is one of the nicest 2 star hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The area was quiet. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. If I am ever in the area, I would be happy to stay here again.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable. I also really loved the shower because it had a walk-in shower with an awesome shower head.”

500 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa“The room is good. Quiet and kid-friendly. The location is fantastic. It is literally close to everything. We stayed on the 5th floor so it's not connecting to the room next door. The only disadvatage is they don't have a microwave in the room. You have to go to the 3rd floor. Apparently there is a microwave there for everyone in the hotel. One night my husband went to microwave milk for our baby. It wasn't even there... so someone must have jacked it. He asked the kitchen staff and they were happy to do it for us. Also, they don't provide water. We ended up paying $24 for 4 bottles of water, $6/bottle. We got there at night so we didn't need a room service the next day. But after that I noticed it was very inconsistent. They came at 11am and 6pm so we never got our room cleaned nor got coffee and cup supplies. I really love their dining service though. This server named Brandon is the nicest guy we've met. I was honestly going to give them a 1 star review due to the attitude we got at the front desk but because of a great service Brandon gave us, it was a 4 star for me. He's very kind, sweet, and nice. Other than that, you have to pay for everything including the internet (if you're not a member).Walkability: Walk distance to South Coast PlazaFood & drinks: Food at the hotel is good but service is the best!”

881 Baker St, Costa Mesa“We have never felt so welcomed at check in. My husband and I recently stayed here for a night. We drove down from the Bay Area and got in around 1:45 am. Carmellia was so personable and welcoming. It felt like we just got to our family’s home. Considering the time and how tired we were after a long drive, it was so refreshing. The breakfast in the morning was so good. (We especially loved the potatoes and sausage). Again, in the morning Carmellia was so refreshing. It’s not often that we run into service this fantastic. Everything was better because of her service. We will definitely come back again when we are in the area.”

2642 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa“Room was clean, nothing exceptional but it was a quiet and pleasant night. Breakfast was good. The hotel itself was very quaint but the parking was a little weird, limited space in the lot but they offer a small underground garage with an elevator. I probably wouldn't opt to use it if I were by myself but it was fine with my husband. There's a cute balcony for sitting outside, would probably be a nice place to smoke if you need one.”

686 Anton Blvd, Costa Mesa“Nice premium and clean hotel within driving distance to Downtown LA. The staff are nice and they greeted me with a smile when I checked in. The beds are comfortable and I slept well on them. But there’s no microwave in the room and you have to call the front desk to request it.”

1441 Gisler Ave, Costa Mesa“It’s a motel6 so no extras such as fridge, microwave, hair dryer but if you don’t need it then no issues. Check-in was super easy and the guy working was nice and informative. No issues with the room, it was warm, quiet, and clean. Only minor issue was that the towels had a bunch of black curly hair in all of them. It wasn’t an issue for me as I had bought my own towels.”

3597 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa“Ive been a guest many many times since the 1980s. I always have felt welcomed and always treated great. The rooms have cleaned, staff communicates well and if have impromptu meetings either work related or meeting with friends or the homeless as I've been an activist since 1988 the staff works with and always has. I do recommend this Inn to many. But if your some wanna be something and schennigans this is not the place. My friend Bill Costly used to live here. I feel at home here and gonna have to check the weekly rates. Forget about it. And allegedly Mafiaoso friendly!!!”

Whether that be an early check-in, a late check-out or just some extra pillows, it's made painless and always with a smile.Best of all, the rooms are GINORMOUS!!Only thing I would change/add is a laundry room!! But laundry or not, this will always be my go-to local hotel.”

I don’t used the pool I just rest it’s not a resort , Good deal ! Great location”
“Rooms were very clean. It’s an older building but the rooms are cared for. Staff was extremely nice to our family. Area didn’t feel as sketchy as other reviews have mentioned. Stayed one night so we could spend the day at the beach as it’s close to Newport Beach. Being only 15 miles from Angels Stadium/Disneyland, we spent the evening at an Angels game.”
“It's a budget hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. More than I expected. Spacious rooms with easy access to parking that is free. Close to restaurants and petrol station literally opposite. Shops are also here and small mall outside, nearest Wallmart 8min drive. Easy and close to highway with easy access to LA (30min) and San Diego. Don't know Orange and the local beach, as we are going to see today.Rooms: Spacious lots of room. Close by parking. It's really more than I expected. Some say need decor upgrade, but everything works and is fine. Premium tv for free HBO and free hot tube in the pool area.Food & drinks: Breakfast is included. Maybe not great choices but tasty and fresh. If you don't like it, Taco Bell is only 30 feet away... Starbucks across the road...”

1515 S Coast Dr, Costa Mesa“2nd time staying here in the past 6 months. 1st was great but 2nd time was terrible. Reservation was for a king size bed. Got to the room and it was 2 doubles. Missing trash can and no box of tissue. Went back to the front desk and ask if I can have a king size bed since I'm by my self. I was told they don't have any and I was upgraded. Went online and try to book a king size bed and 5 was available. Salem from the front desk lied to me. Ask for box of tissue and was told they don't provide those anymore. Ask for a trash can was told they will send somebody the next day. 4 days later still no trash can. They should train these people better.Rooms: The room was okay. It needs a little bit of work.Safety: It looks safe. Plenty of parking.”
“STELLAR Customer service from checking in to checking out. Rooms are always super clean! Beds and pillows are extremely comfy!!! Food and cocktails are always delish !!!!! Centrally located (Costa Mesa/ Newport Beach.) only 10 mins away from Newport, 20 mins from HB, super amazing restaurants within in 5 to 10 mins from stellar restaurants. The grounds are pretty….the Atrium has lights draped from trees, outdoor dining, beautiful fountain. The pool and cabanas are super nice!!!I’ve stayed here 5 or 6 times and each stay has been above and beyond. The price point is right on or less than other hotels in the area….”
