If you’re ever around Springs Road in Vallejo, definitely stop by this local pet shop! Dale and Erin are some of the friendliest people you’ll meet — super easy to talk to and incredibly knowledgeable. Even if you’re just browsing, they’ll welcome you in like family.
On my first visit, I wasn’t planning to buy anything, just wandering around — but I got curious about bearded dragons, and Dale took the time to explain everything in such an honest, passionate way. It’s clear they truly care about their animals and are happy to share what they know, whether you’re buying from them or not.

“Review: Exceptional Service at Pet Food Express - Martinez
After a visit to the vet, we were advised to switch our 3 month old boxers food, and I found myself feeling overwhelmed by the options available at several pet food stores. The sheer number of brands, ingredients, and dietary requirements was too much. I gave up and decided to try again the next day!
My perspective changed when we walked into Pet Food Express in Martinez. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by friendly employees who welcomed us warmly, the initial impression set the tone for an enjoyable shopping experience.
After a few minutes of browsing the food selections, Christopher, a remarkably knowledgeable staff member, approached us. He asked if we needed assistance, actually Christopher said, "do you know what you're looking for or is there something that I can help you find?"
I shared the information from our vet, and in no time, Christopher was walking us through all the food options that matched the recommendations of our vet! Not pointing out, not try this or try that actually walking us through the food options that met the vets recommendations!
His depth of knowledge was truly impressive. He could explain not only the different products available but also the specific ingredients and their benefits. I found myself standing there, amazed at how easily Christopher rattled off details like protein percentages and ingredient sourcing. It was reassuring to have such expertise guiding us through the decision-making process.
Christopher also informed us about promotions, like the buy 3 get the 4th free deal, which encouraged us to explore the various toys and supplements available (which we wanted to buy anyways!).
By the end of our visit, we felt confident about the dog food we selected for our new Boxer puppy!

“I love this place very friendly Help. You won’t stand more than two minutes waiting for Help. If you look lost. They carry the very best pet food possible for our love ones. They’ll take back food if your pet doesn’t eat it. (I never tried an empty bag, so). They let you know of deals without asking. This store is very clean even with the DIY pet grooming stations that are clean as well that are also very busy. Awesome store”

“I use to shop here for my pigeon feed and they was such great friendly people. I wonder if it's the same people running the store that i use to come buy feed 2012. Well now i have Cockatiels and Canary's so i will be buying my feed from you again. Because the store Elgranero feed store stop customer from using their credit cards and they only except cash that has been going on for 1 yr now. And i wanted to buy a canary bird and i didn't have the cash to buy it now so i wasn't able to buy bird.”

“This is one of the best experiences I’ve had with getting my puppy groomed. She’s a mini golden doodle just fyi. Amber was so nice and knew what she was doing. I love that my dog was the only dog in the shop no other dogs running around and no create in sight, to get thrown in before or after her grooming like other places do. Amber listens to you and what you like with ur dogs cut. Yes she gives her opinion and I like that as well! I could say a lot of good things but mostly I just loved how she treated my 7 month old pup who’s hard to groom cause she moves around a lot. Thanks Amber ? Mazzy will be back forsure.”

“Pet Vet is an awesome resource and I recommend it to anyone in the area with pets. I first started shopping here because the flea meds were cheaper than at my vet's. There's a great selection of food and supplies (some hard to find) and you can get a lot of normally "prescription only" items. Some require a clinic visit but others like sub-q bags are easily available.”

“Found their business offered in a Business Directory insert. I reached out to them for a quote on cat grooming and they answered promptly and was able to give me an appointment within a day of my inquiry! Prior to this, I was looking at PetSmart but a lot of their grooming appointments were weeks away and a longer drive. I went in and did a quick consult as to what I wanted. My cat Midnight is a stray my family took in recently and I informed them we weren’t sure how he would do with a bath but if it’s possible, we would want a bath for him. I also requested deshedding, a trim esp on the underside of him, and nail trimming. They were done within an hour, and told me they were able to give him a bath! They also warned me that while trimming his nails, they noticed some green stuff in his front paws and suggested getting it looked at, which I greatly appreciated. Midnight never looked so good or clean as after this service! Definitely will be a repeat customer! Staff from checkin, grooming, and checkout were friendly and efficient.”
“I have gone in for a few things before and it was always pleasant. Yesterday I needed dewormer and flea removal stuff for a very sensitive senior cat. The employee must have seen the look of confusion on my face and came over to assist me. She took the time to explain some of the products and the ones she uses. “I have been taking Chile (my dog) to pet smart to get he’s bath and grooming since he was a puppy. And they have always treated him very good. I strongly recommend them. Sarah is a great groomer. And I have had some others that are great. And yes I’ve had a few bumps in the road but they have made it up with the great employees they have. Thank you guys.”

“I always take my dogs to get groomed here every month, they always come out, looking great with their nails grinded! Fun fact: they will take your dog in, even if they have fleas and will give them flea shampoo, it’s important to leave your flea dogs at home and groom them there as to not spread it, but as a last effort, Petsmart will groom the dogs with fleas.”
