“The parking attendants were awesome. Their professionalism and attention to detail was helpful. Each interaction was pleasant. John appeared to be the supervisor (I assume based on how accommodating he was) and ensured I had all the information I needed as I headed to my destinations. I must also give acknowledge the kindness and professionalism of Garcia and Noe”

“Total hidden treasure. My bf and I booked this hotel purely for its proximity to a wedding we were attending. Would likely opt for Mayumi again when we visiting Sawtelle in the future.PROS:- Can leave luggage with lobby if checking in early- Easy check-in + our room was available 30 mins earlier than expected- Gated courtyard with keycard access for added security; courtyard itself is quite hip and cozy- Complimentary breakfast items available in the AM (oatmeal, beverages, fruit)- Clean, modern room with entirely digitized setup (lights, shades, A/C was on a tablet)- Excellent noise insulation despite close quarters- Great location in Culver City, with a convenient plaza across the street- Free bikes available to borrow for the dayCONS:- Very small for the cost. Hard to set up two luggages and have enough space in the bathroom to get ready- No elevator for the second floor, only stairs...- No coffee or microwave in room, only in lobby; room only had 1 bottle of water (???)Staff were nice and fairly helpful. We only stayed 1 night but felt it was far better than the other options in the area.”

“Very easy public transport to beach and airport from the hotel. Good sound insulating windows although it is facing main street. No breakfast provided but there are plenty of good restaurants options within walking distance. But bathroom definitely needs update.”

“I often stay at Marriott hotels in several places. They all tend to be the same quality. Reliable. This specific one is close to LAX 9 minutes no traffic, 29 minutes with traffic.. so I'd say, think about 15+ normal. It's right across the mall, so a few good places to eat and shops to browse if you are bored. I definitely recommend the bbq place nearby.Has all the amenities you need, and a fridge and safe in the room. However the safe in my room did not work as half the buttons couldn't be pressed, but fortunately I didn't need it. If you do, check it first thing and notify the front desk of any issues right away. I forgot to mention it to them. The lighting in the room isn't the best as you have to have all lights on so you don't feel sleepy in the room and there is no table (other than the desk), so a friend and I couldn't setup a card game we wanted. Fortunately there is plenty of open seating in the lobby with big enough tables and we went there.I would recommend this place and stay again if I am visiting my friend nearby.Nearby activities: Right next to the mall”

“Use to live in Culver City and moved in 2011. Once I no longer had an apartment I stayed here and it was $250 a week. I returned in 2012 and was disappointed to find out fee increased to $350. Returned this summer for business and was very upset I couldn't get a room. They have finally remodeled the rooms and the place looks great. I would stay at this fab location anytime any day. I recall seeing a man get his a** whipped in the parking lot next door on a new years eve I believe. It was a bloody mess and very entertaining. Other than that a very quiet tranquil place. Would be nice if the lazy staff or owner picked up the damn phone more often. Sometimes you have to phone them up to ten times to get an answer.”
