“Great new take out restaurant ? Pizza Guys! Opened April 10th. Great customer service. Don't normally eat pizza, but will go back here. Fresh ingredients, different crusts offered, salads and lots of other goodies on the menu. Plenty of parking. Recommend you give it a try.
I only gave it a 4 because no inside dining.”

“I am here almost every Thursday. I take my fur baby to Petsmart for doggie day care and shop at the Walmart in the shopping center. The are many other stores here from Tader Joe's to Kohls. There is also a School's first credit union & IHOP.”

“Visit Downtown Disney for a touch of magic, food, and shopping without fully committing to the parks. Think of it like a city walk. Disney is very dynamic, so things are constantly changing. Almost nothing stays the same, and it's very rare that it does. Older restaurants and stores are always being closed with new ones taking its place.
They do try to be inclusive by offering diverse food options. There's American food from Black Tap and Ballast Point, Italian food from Naples Ristorante and Napolini, Shanghainese food from Din Tai Fung, Mexican food from Centrico and Paseo, Creole style food from Jazz Kitchen, etc. There's enough options for everyone. There's also endless amount of sweet desserts. Even more restaurants are coming like Porto's, Gordon Ramsey's gastro pub, steakhouses, and BBQ house (as of 2026).
Reservations are highly recommended. Don't always expect to get lucky with doing a walk-up. You can book online directly on the website or through the Disneyland app, if it is Disney affiliated. Not all restaurants are Disney affiliated. You'll know if it is if the restaurant doesn't pop up under the reserve dining tab. Larger parties are a bit difficult to accommodate, so wait times might be longer.
Friday evenings, weekends, and holidays are extremely busier. Don't be shocked if finding a parking spot is difficult. The Downtown Disney parking lot is also called the Simba parking lot. Make sure to route to this specific parking lot if you're going to Downtown Disney. For whatever reason, if you route to the actual restaurant or shopping store, Apple Maps and Google Maps will route you through Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. And you will be turned away at the gatehouse once you pull up and rerouted to the Simba lot.
Some restaurants and shopping stores validate. It depends on where you dine and shop. Just remember to bring your ticket and try to get it validated. Parking prices can be ridiculous. They charge hourly, and there's rarely any accommodations. Once you park, there are arrows and directories everywhere, so you shouldn't get lost.
There's many photo opportunities. Almost everywhere has a touch of Disney magic. They have the best decor during Halloween and Christmas. The shopping stores are obviously catered toward resort guests. Curl Surf sells shoes for those who forgot to bring appropriate walking shoes, Lulu Lemon sells comfortable workout attire, Sunglass Hut sells sunglasses, etc. The World of Disney Store is the largest store, and it's the perfect store for all things Disney.”

“I’m rarely in the area but when I visit family, this is where we stop by because there’s different shops of great value and restaurants attached. It’s within walking distance of the great original Thai place and other good restaurants. Love coming here and shopping at Nordstrom rack in TJ Maxx, and then grabbing a Quick bite at the Filipino restaurant or the Thai restaurant. Easy parking!”
“It's actually just a strip mall.. but in the theme of an old German village. Try the lemon squares at the bakery.. good place to visit for gifts, wish they had a little playground for kids.”

“I love this plaza. They have put in a lot of effort to make it accessible and pleasing to the eye. Love, love north gate and the restaurants in the strip. Never had a problem regarding safety. Sometimes can get crowded and parking will be further than desired but you’ll find a spot.”
“Very nice place to have a kids party. The food was surprisingly good. Large variety of dishes as well deserts. Prices were reasonable at $18 for adults and $13 for kids 13 and under.
Parking is very hard to fine because of its location in a mall.”
“The grocery store is clean, has friendly staff, and large facility. Plenty of shops & entertainment in this shopping center. It's close to a bowling alley, VR gaming, the freeway, a mall, and a movie theater.”
“I love how this place has a Barnes and Noble, a Panda Express, a Target, and some other useful shops that I can visit. This place also has fair parking spaces. I absolutely love coming here.
The traffic lights are also a lot more fair and makes this place a lot more safer.”
“There are so many cool places to go at City Plaza! I recommend Sway Eyebrows for feathering or shading your eyebrows, YGF Malatang for a great meal, and Bakers and Baristas for a dessert and drinks. You won't be disappointed by any place within City Plaza.”

“I like Petco bc it's like a play date for my dog every time we go. Only reason it's not 5 star is bc some prices are a bit high. Hard to compete with someone selling online with no overhead but Petco is usually a great overall experience.”
