“Store could be a little nicer inside but has actually pretty fair prices, especially for the figurines. They're roughly the same as what you can get online, and if you factor in shipping, they're often a bit cheaper. Nice place for any hobbyists :)”
“First time at Geppetto's toy store in La Jolla. What a find on Yelp! We stopped in to get gifts for the grandkids but I found quite a few things that I wanted. Geppetto's had games, toys, fidgets, gadgets, plushies, dolls, and everything else that a little toy maker could imagine. We bought a travel game for the grandkids called Guess Who. We also got some stocking stuffers for future use. Really had a good time perusing all of the toys.”

“I'm giving this location 5 stars because what the employees have to put up with, I truly don't understand majority of the people that come in here acting like it's some sort of thrift store trying to make a deal in a RETAIL store it's absolutely ridiculous!! The fact I've seen grown adults throw temper tantrums cause they want something honored blows my mind and makes me think that the people here haven't been to a store before or have done there own shopping. I truly can't express how such a nice neighborhood being filled with some of cheapest people I have ever seen in my life disgusts me. I'm sorry for the employees who look like they are mostly high schoolers getting yelled at by adults who should know better, way to set a example Encinitas, I've seen a grown man yell at a worker there for paint for rocks! Every time I go there someone is always trying to get prices lowered and the poor cashiers and supervisors can't tell these overgrown spoiled brats no. The workers are fine but the customers here can truly be disgusting and spoiled babies”

“I was introduced to this store by some friends and wow, I am impressed. They've got tabletop games and dice, they've got miniature combat game stuff, They've got a glorious collection of board and card games.... there is even a pre-owned game section with some pretty great options if new games are out of your budget.
There are also tables for playing your own games or one you borrow there. No one made us feel even slightly unwelcome for playing several hours worth of games.
It's clean to include the bathroom and the music is great but not too loud. The staff know their stuff- I had a few questions about stock and they could answer without looking for most of it.
10/10, this should be your local store.”

“There are not many independent toy stores left but Geppetto’s really throws back to the bygone era of my childhood. Great selection of really neat toys. They have everything from big brands like Lego and Mattel products, to more unique and mindful and specialized toys that help develop the mind. Very spendy. Nice people!”
