“This friendly local game store proved to have an excellent selection of games despite the shops relatively small size.
The shop has a good selection of board games, trading card games, TTRPG books, and all manner of other fun nerdy and geeky items. Bards & Cards impressed with their well curated selection, and even had some oddities that I didn't expect to see, like some indie creator goods and items. I also liked the neat selection of photos with various notable figures from across fandoms.
The atmosphere of the shop was generally pleasant but not overly well maintained, and the back half of the store, arranged as more of a play space had a more old school game store vibe, for better or worse.
When I visited, the staff were friendly but not overly so. They didn't impose themselves too frequently as I browsed, but also they weren't overly friendly either when chatting with them.
Overall, I enjoyed checking out this store, and hope to return to pick up some more interesting games.”

Prices are surprisingly affordable compared to online retailers, with some figures starting at just $9.99. The shop focuses exclusively on Japanese collectibles, so you won’t find American brands like DC, Marvel, or Funko Pops. It’s a dedicated haven for fans of authentic Japanese figures.”
“Recently went to Olhausen to look at and hopefully purchase a pool table. We were met by Brian, who very nicely and very patiently ( as we knew nothing about pool tables lol ) answered all of our questions and then some. We purchased a pool table and left VERY happy. The great customer service did not stop there. When Sam and Travis showed up to deliver and setup our pool table, they were extremely nice, very thorough, and informative. They did a very professional job and very quickly we were playing pool on our very own pool table!! I can’t recommend them highly enough!”

“I'm so happy I went in to Gepetto's for a gift today. I called ahead and the employee was very helpful, when I arrived to the store I made my purchase and even had it gift wrapped. I live nearby but was concerned about parking, luckily there was a 30 minute spot available in the parking lot closest to the store. This Gepetto's will be my new stop for toys & gifts.”

John and his capable assistant repaired the flagpole at the Veterans Association of North County. Their attention to detail every step of the way was truly outstanding. We are so thankful to Sunward Flag Company and highly recommend them.”
“Unique collection of handicraft items at this place which reflects old Spanish culture very well. Prices are a bit higher but that is also because being antique and touristic place.However, I found some of the arts very similar to Indian handicraft.”

“Good sized space, lots of planes and parts for planes, no train stuff. Why only 4? There is no rhyme or reason of the inventory. Some stuff had dedicated spaces but others were place wherever it fit, challenging to find anything.”

“This corporate store for Games Workshop and Warhammer carries their products exclusively across the spectrum of games they produce as well as their line of hobby and modeling tools. There's a wide selection of current models as well as an order kiosk for placing special orders. The manager is well versed in the products, the games, as well as the lore.
The tables for gaming are limited and can fill up quickly on the weekend. The store does have campaign events that are casual in nature and welcoming of new players. Check in each month for the limited release coin of the month and miniature of the month.”
“Lots of flags. I got what I was looking for. They don't offer a military discount, that OK, but don't lie about it. When I asked for one the clerk said the price is built into it as they deal with so many military customers. So if everyone is getting a military discount then there is no military discount. Like I said if you don't offer it just say so, don't lie about it.”

“Took my 13-year-old son in today to sell some silver coins and had such a great experience. The owner was incredibly kind and patient with him, pulled up a chair, walked him through all the calculations, and really took the time to explain everything instead of talking over him or dismissing him because he’s a kid.
My son left feeling excited, informed, and genuinely respected. We had visited another shop previously that felt intimidating, so this experience stood out even more. Such a welcoming atmosphere and such a good experience for a young collector/entrepreneur. We’ll absolutely be back!”

“My family visited Geppetto's from out of town and we were so pleasantly surprised to see a locally owned toy shop up and running! There were so many different kinds of toys, creative sets, and scientific discovery kits. Staff were friendly and let us browse at our own pace. Everyone in the family left the shop with something special, including baby and grown ups!”

“The store was a bit messy. They must have just had a sale? It wasn't a major holiday. I have been there at Christmas time and it has been disorganized by the customers tearing through the merchandise.
I refuse to shop at Hobby Lobby because of their politics and views on women's health. So I always choose Michael's. Plus, Michael's lets you use a coupon which you can find online or have emailed to you when you sign up.
They have a large variety of craft and art supplies. They have yarn and baskets. You can find everything you need here for being creative.”

“Most GameStops won’t even pick up the phone when they’re busy, but this location goes above and beyond to help their customers. All I needed was information about a console I purchased 4 years ago to make an insurance claim but couldn’t find anyone to help until I called Mission Valley GameStop! They were really busy but took the time to answer all my questions even though I had a million of them. Wish I got the guys name but I forgot to ask. Anyway he’s a LEGEND!”
