“Brandi went out of her way to find packages that I dropped off earlier to double check that each of the 5 packages was going to the right address. Great service with a smile I’ve always had a good experience here!”

“One of the best USPS locations I've ever visited. Clean, fast service, incredibly nice / helpful / friendly / pleasant staff. Great to see such a well run post office going strong. The building is nice too.”

“We went in on a Saturday to get our passport done, we had an appointment and Christine was super helpful and knowledgeable. Also, the USPS website says they don't do passport photos on the weekend, but they do.”

“Absolutely the most helpful, most reliable, and friendliest place in San Diego for shipping and mailing things. I don't even live nearby, but it is worth the drive. I've been doing business at this shop for several years and I cannot recommend it strongly enough. (They also have a fun stationary/gift store with lots of Sanrio and Pokémon products.) 10/10”

“There are the most wonderful people work here: always friendly, efficient, polite, and sweet. All of the employees are very professional, and yet very personable. I love coming to this post office. People are what makes the business great, and you guys are doing incredible job, especially during holiday craziness! I have no idea how you guys can stay on track with this kind of work overload, but you manage effortlessly. Much respect to you guys!”

“I've had a PO box here for 2y now. Initially the one worker there was a woman close to retirement who I guess never filed any of my PO box paperwork from when I originally got it (this became an issue later with a name change and documentation) or gave me the door code for after hours. But she left a while ago and there's a new guy who's on top of things and great.

Prices of po boxes change but when I got one here this was the cheapest option in the area because it's small and not a 24h or typical big post office - however for PO box renters you get a door code for after hours so don't worry about it not being open as late if you're just picking up mail.

Otherwise no complaints, and unlike where I last had a PO box(rsf and pasadena) I've never had an issue with package theft here or misdeliveries. The 2 times there was a package issue had to do with a site not letting me add the PO box 4digit zip ending so they didn't know whose box it belonged to - but found my name and just called me.”

“Above average (for USPS) on the customer service. The postal workers here have been here for a while, so they know their stuff. 2 automated machines for the self-help types. I also like that they keep the Priority shipping boxes stocked, which many POs struggle with.”

“I come in here at least once a week and have been for years. I’ve never had anything but kind and efficient customer service. It baffles me why the ratings for this location are mixed.”

“First time visiting! Went on a busy Monday morning around 930am. I had 30 envelopes that I had to mail out for Father’s Day. I waited in a line for less than 5minutes. The postal agent took good care of each envelope printing out stamps for each one. My experience overall was good. I highly recommend this location.”

“Controversial opinion: USPS (or just this location at Mira Mesa) actually do its job well... or may I say... it does its job even good perhaps.

Every time I went there to send simple packages, I had nothing except a good experiences from the staff themselves.

However, the problems with the USPS itself is the type of people
that goes there. It is as if 95% of people that goes here were placed under a Izanami in their own current world, because there is no way of explaining of how they are acting.

I seen one guy taking up a spot for OVER 10 MINUTE!!!! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!!!??!??!?!?!? There was a long line because this guy was take one of the 2 spot available.

I do noticed sometime, when the line get too long due to these people, they add someone to the counter, which is really nice!!!

All government position suffer from the same problems... the type of people that goes there. Somehow, they can turn a 1 minute interaction into well over 6 minutes. Oh well....

So why did I give this place a 4 stars. That is because one time, when I was sending my mail through Certified Mail, my tracking progress said that my mail wasn't delivered yet, even though the recipient has confirmed and verified they have received it.

Granted, I had send my mail to the Social Security Administration to replace my social security card, so it probably wasn't USPS incompetent. However, I was worrying for quite a bit seeing my package being more and more delayed. Even as of right now, it still said that package still is at a sorting facility.”

“Like most Military bases this base has a Post Office (staffed by civilians but mostly military personal) and is only accessible to those who have base privileges. No need to give it 1 star because you can’t access it. The staff is very kind and professional. I like to go to this location because it is clean, good parking and even when busy they move the line along quickly.”

“What a lovely experience! I was trying to send Easter bunnies to my Mama and sister and the mail clerk was very friendly and incredibly helpful. She took her time with me and explained all my options, trying to save me money. And, although limited, they have some pretty cards that I got to add to my package.”

“Jeanette is amazing. She is so on point. Unfortunately, she had to deal with some condescending and arrogant customers prior to me. I like this Post Office a lot. They are very effective at their job. I'm sure they deal with people all day who treat the Post Office like it is their house, instead of the business that it is. Why would someone allow their children to run around in circles at the Post Office?”

“I've been using this Carmel Velley office for many years and it is as good one can expect. I have never seen rudeness or unprofessional treatment of customers. Sometimes long lines are annoying and slow but in most cases delays were caused by the customers rather than by the ladies behind the counter. If they are not smiling, it is not a problem to me, they do their job well enough. The office is inside the store so one has to walk through the store, if it is a problem I suggest to use some other post office.”

“After seeing the reviews I was expecting the worst but it was pretty painless. People made it seem like it was a terrible USPS location but apart from the customer door looking kind of run down everything went pretty smooth. I rang the bell and got my package 2 minutes later. It does look kind of weird and there's not a lot of parking so that could be an issue.”

“People should know that the staff has nothing to do with the location closing. If you need to complain, go to the usps.com or call the 1-800 number provided in the site. And if you are in a hurry to mail something do not arrive at closing time; manage your time! People should have their packages ready to ship. Not arrive with the label not pasted to the box or the box not closed properly expecting the staff to do it for you. If you have not pasted the address label or your box is opened then buy the tape and do it yourself. The post office is not a place to acquire free merchandise, the post office is a place to bring your prepared packages and they will kindly "mail it" with the appropriate stamps. That is their job, they are not your maid or your secretary! And do not compare the post office with fedex. Of course fedex will prepare the package for you; but it is not for free, they are charging you to do it! Save your money and dont be pretending for other people to do your work and then complain because it was not done to your standards! A lot of lazy people! People should stop complaining just because things do not accommodate to your lazy standards. And if the front cashier says that she knows there is no package in the back for you is because SHE KNOWS! Never think she is being disrespectful by not walking to the back and coming back and saying the same thing. They work there and they know what is there and what is not there! I believe they do a great job with what they have! They are employers like you and me! And they do their best to help you with your attitude!”
