“The staff at this post office is extremely friendly and helpful. The nice woman (I wish I knew her name) working there even helped me save money on postage by using an alternate box for shipping. Very happy!!”

“The staff here have been so helpful, and the location so convenient, for me for many years, it's time to put up a review! Today I asked a lot of them, mailing 10+ bulky holiday packages that also needed packaging upgrades and a lot of patience. They were nice, efficient & organized in taking care of all of it! A neighborhood gem who will help you with all your mailing needs.”

“This review could have been a one star but David turned it into a 5 star. I had an appointment for a passport application but for some reason it wasn’t showing up in the system and initially I received little sympathy or support. I was told I could reschedule or wait and hope someone else no showed for their appointment. At the end of the day David took care of me and my family. He could have easily forced us to reschedule but he helped us out. He saw my anxiety and was so kind. He went beyond what was necessary to really help me, and I will forever be grateful.”

“Exceptional customer service. The inside is very clean and all items are well and neatly stocked. The cashier was greeted customer at the door and was engaging during the transaction. They have three blue boxes outside. Some are big enough to insert a small package.”

“Dont know why this PO has such a bad rating, its by FAR the happiest, friendliest, and most helpful PO i've ever been to, and I've lived in 6 cities all over the states and run a shipping company, so I've been to quite a few. Truly a great experience, for..you know, the post office.”

“The PO building is old, dark, small and falling apart. It really needs to be torn down and rebuilt. HOWEVER, the counter staff are invariably kind and helpful. Don't believe any negative reviews about the staff at this PO-- they are the best. They get all sorts there, and they have to deal with odd, rude, not-so-bright and demanding people, but I have never seen them be anything other than kind and professional. It can get busy there at times, but it is almost always much quicker than other nearby POs, and the staff are so nice that it's not really a bother.”

“I had an issue with USPS not cancelling my forwarding over 10 days ago, so I was not getting any mail. I called the local Bisby Lake Ave. post office and, unlike many other post offices, the phone was answered after just a few rings! Mark was extremely pleasant and researched the issue while I was on the phone. Twice he came back off hold to update me. He discovered the regional center had not told my carrier that I was back home. He called the carrier right then to update her and then told me I could pick up a package that just came in. Wow. I did so and the staff found my package right away. What a pleasant experience, and thank you.”

“There are the most wonderful people work here: always friendly, efficient, polite, and sweet. All of the employees are very professional, and yet very personable. I love coming to this post office. People are what makes the business great, and you guys are doing incredible job, especially during holiday craziness! I have no idea how you guys can stay on track with this kind of work overload, but you manage effortlessly. Much respect to you guys!”

“Always great and friendly service while taking the time to address any questions or concerns.Only downside is that they’re never consisted with the official rules and guidelines posted by DC on the official USPS website, making stuff up along the way, making them sound unsure about things and leaving you as a customer unsure about outcome because it doesn’t match expectations set by the website. That said, it has yet to cause an issue.”

“Always a great experience for me, employees are very informative and helpful. It’s sad to see some of the ignorance they have to deal with from time to time. Young girl with short hair and tattoos is always so sweet and always answers my questions everyone else is great too! Keep up the good work everyone .”

“I’ve been coming into this location for a while now and have always had a good experience. However, today Carlos went above and beyond! I was struggling to find the right box and shipping materials in line, so he called me over and helped me find the perfect size box and was able to cut my shipping price in half! He packed the item himself and was wonderful throughout the whole interaction. I would definitely recommend this location and especially Carlos to help you out!”

“Super helpful and friendly staff at this location, both in-person and on the phone. I had a lost piece of mail they helped track down and deliver. Their diligence exceeded my expectations. Thank you Scripps Ranch USPS!”

“Everyone here is AMAZING! The staff here helped me with a very unusual case. My ex has been putting a hold on his mail which has put a hold on MY mail. I didn't find out for MONTHS as I thought I just wasn't getting mail (silly me I know) I finally went into this post office and they told me the situation. Not only did they handle it, but they told my mail carrier (Patty who is known to go above and beyond for all of us she delivers mail to) and they have ensured I now get mail! I found out today he put another hold on my address, but Patty let me know that she is ensuring to just put his mail aside and to deliver mine as normal - something they don't normally do. Thank you ALL for constantly going above and beyond. You have made this difficult situation I have been going through a lot easier on me and I appreciate you all more than you know!”

“I do a lot of sales on eBay. I use this location 90% of the time. Great customer service. Nice employees. I’ve been there a few times while there were nasty customers and the employees have handled it well.”

“OK, who reviews the post office and leaves a good review, right? Well, most folks haven't met Kevin or seen him in action. He is a wonder of customer service. I knew he was a special guy when he signed me up for a PO box and did a great job of making sure I had everything I needed. The other day, I stood in line waiting several extra minutes observing Kevin work his magic with an elderly customer who was trying to figure out how to pay or prove payment of a particular medical bill. Kevin the social worker was in play, he wrote things down for the customer, circled important phone numbers, suggested action and said "I'll be here to help you once you know where you'll send the letter to," oh so patient is Kevin. Wonderful. Yes, it was an extra 5 minutes of my time to watch it all unfold before me and some customers would share a one-star review because they had to wait too long -- but I was lucky to observe a kind and caring customer service pro in action. It was a privilege.Other things about this post office? This is one of the great USPS locations that accepts UPS/FEDEX/Amazon shipments (addressed with proper box number and PO street address) and I so appreciate that! There are a few "glitches" with that system and it is not unusual for me to have a FedEx tracking number saying something is delivered but the PO not to have the item in hand for a few (if not several) days. I get a HUGE number of packages via these other sources right now as we're momentarily in San Diego and doing a bunch of outfitting of our sailboat, so I'm not too concerned about it, the packages always pop up and I can get them eventually, but this does make me think they have a hard time with the workload of dealing with so many packages with so few staff there.Anyway, Point Loma USPS Kevin and all the rest -- please keep doing what you and being great! Thanks so much.”

“Friendly staff, even when customers are rude. Sadly I see rude customers everytime I come in. Don't understand why people are so mean and demanding when they are trying to help.”

“Moved to this neighborhood a little over a year ago, and I’ve never waited more than 15 mins - that includes when the line has been to the door. They are very efficient and Rufino and Rosy are always very pleasant and friendly.”

“First time visiting! Went on a busy Monday morning around 930am. I had 30 envelopes that I had to mail out for Father’s Day. I waited in a line for less than 5minutes. The postal agent took good care of each envelope printing out stamps for each one. My experience overall was good. I highly recommend this location.”

“It is in fact located on a military base. So for those who have access is extremely convenient to not have to drive halfway across town in high gate traffic to get to a usps. Staff is friendly, professional and I can honestly say thank you. And for those who posted "its military property" yeah it says that online. And if you look at google maps it states that there are "restricted access" roads. Waaaa red flag should have gone high with that.”

“Took one star off because it was very hard to find but at the end it was worth. The staff was a young lovely lady and helped me very quickly. Put some signs in parking lot USPS and make everyone’s life easier!”

“I had the best experience at Grantville post office in San Diego, CA. My package had the 5 digits wrong on the order and it was coming from Canada. So an international package. I called Canada postal service to see if a correction could be made. I also got a hold of the company to let them know the 5 digits were incorrect. They tried to intervene but of no avail. 1800 USPS gave me some great info on how to go about to retrieve this package. Once I knew the package said “out for delivery”, that was my cue to go down to the Grantville post office and the manager then looked all over the facility and made workers aware of this package having the wrong 5 digits. Low and behold the pack was there and in the pacel bag of my carrier, since he was familiar with my name and correct address.I am very grateful to all who went out of their way to get this package to me.”

“The best way to receive mail and online shopping packages. Tip: You have to go in person, they have so many costumers that they don't answer the phone often.”

“I recently had a great experience here at the Post Office with Myra who was super helpful and supportive. An important package had not arrived to my home, so I came in to get some help. Myra took the time to look up my tracking number, call around to nearby post offices, follow-up before she left the office for the day, and gave me a call the next morning saying the package had been found and would I like to pick it up or have it delivered in my mailbox the same day. I know sometimes a post office can get a bad wrap, but I received above and beyond excellent service, and I think it’s important to recognize that. Thanks Myra!”

“Like most Military bases this base has a Post Office (staffed by civilians but mostly military personal) and is only accessible to those who have base privileges. No need to give it 1 star because you can’t access it. The staff is very kind and professional. I like to go to this location because it is clean, good parking and even when busy they move the line along quickly.”

“This place is great! I walked in at 10:30 on Thursday, got quick, very pleasant service from Anne. Listened to the other employees, they all sounded friendly, as well. I had read all the bad reviews, almost chose not to go here because of them. So glad I did!”

“I ALMOST got scammed long story short dropped a order off at this location around 2:30ish pm and paid for overnight for a customer. Did some extra digging because something in my gut said double check their info and I did turns out they like to scam small businesses sadly. I was in El Cajon when I realized this information at 3pmish so my husband drove us back to the location. Same lady who helped me the first time recognized me and I explained to her what happened she retrieved my package and reimbursed us our money back. Personally best experience I've ever had at a Usps location.”

“Post Office in Barrio Logan had poor customer interactions. So I went downtown where the customer service was much better. Come to find out, the first rep handled the paperwork. So effective but rude.”

2.4 Poor23 Reviews

“OK people, one more time. The RB customer service USPS location is NOT in this building. This is primarily a processing center with a drive-through mail drop for the convenience of people who don't want to get out of the car. The USPS customer service office is two blocks down the street to the south at Bernardo Center and Lomica Dr. So, please stop going to the wrong place and then trashing USPS workers for not being able to help you. And, BTW, if you don't like the USPS, try mailing something anywhere else. Only Vatican City has a better postal service - but they don't have to do door-to-door delivery for over 300 million people spread over an entire continent. Our postal workers are great folks working habitually short-staffed, so show some respect.”
