I originally thought it was a deposit only, then read the 2 year old review, and came back to make my withdrawal :] in, n out, n in, n out again in a jiffy. What a withdrawal. “I’ve been banking with Stanford Federal Credit Union since 1992, and my parents even longer than that before me. I cannot say enough about the consistent exceptional experience we receive during every interaction with SFCU‘s team. Recently (and now for the 5th time), we applied for an auto loan and were not only given exceptional rates, but were also accommodated incredibly by Mr. Ryan Yaffe. As we all know, in this market it is even harder to find good vehicles, and the sellers market in which we all need to deal and negotiate - Ryan was able to be exceptional in his responsiveness and service, as we tried to capture the perfect deal on a used car. Because of Ryan’s professionalism, we did obtain the vehicle we desired, and were able to contend in this crazy market, with no issue at all. “We had a great experience with SMCU to help refinance my mother's car loan. Everyone I talked to, whether on the phone or in person, was extremely helpful. Bernabe was our loan officer and he was extremely patient and flexible working through our needs. He took the extra effort to explain the different options and help us understand our best chances of getting approved by the underwriters. He also helped us to get our interest rate adjusted due to a special case we had. All in all, we had a great experience with the team at SMCU and I would highly recommend others to look at them for their auto refinancing needs!”

“Angela helped me with home loan for primary purchase this year. I have to admit that Angela is the best loan agent I ever met - she is a very professional, knowledgeable, resourceful and highly responsive agent. Her team worked quite efficiently and helped me close the loan within 15 days - this is very impressive, especially during the COVID period when a lot of things such as appraisal take much longer time than before. Additionally, she helped me get the lowest rate in the market(0.25-0.5 point lower than other lenders like BOA, Chase, Citi etc.) I always feel lucky and grateful that I have Angela as my agent and I would highly recommend Angela and her team to any friend of mine for their mortgage needs”

“Went to there in a bit of a rush, a banking emergency where another bank refused to accept a large check with written , jovee encinas was amazing . She took the time to hear my rushed and chaotic explanation, she offered solutions, guided us through options and assured us of what she was going to do to help, and followed up with an e-mail. “Just a couple of days ago, I walked into the Stanford campus SCFU branch for the first time. within short moments was accosted and invited by Michelle Matias to an office to assist with my planned deposits. I was confused about CDs versus money market accounts and mostly about liquidity of cash. Michelle was not only knowledgeable but with clarity, she helped me make wise and informed decisions. It may be true that a lot of this information is on the web, but I need my questions answered directly without "FAQs". Michelle is a personable bank officer, who provided personal attention and with meticulous attention help me complete my tasks. “I've been a member of SFCU for about 20 years. The Customer Support has always been above par. My most recent encounter was no different. My son and I were helped by 'Jenny' at the Palo Alto branch. She took the time to help us with our accounts, answer question, and explain to my son, in great detail, everything he needed to know about credit cards and his options for saving money. We never felt rushed, and she had clear answers for all of our questions. You can't ask for more than that in a banking experience. Note: I only give four stars because I have to drive an hour to visit the nearest branch. But I realize that's not their fault.”

I just visited a branch to get some crisp bills for CNY and when I mentioned to the teller what it was for, he offered me red envelopes that they had onsite! This type of personal experience is delightful and I doubt you'd find at Wells Fargo or Bank of America.”

“Just closed my account today due to current complication with FRB's stock dropped 99% and assets sold to JP Morgan.The service was as good as the day I went there and opened my account. No questions asked, every necessary details provided to me and swift service without even one second of delay. “my family has been with this bank before i was even born. we completely trust this bank. Id suggest you go to Jaquline for anything. If i forgot my bank account number she would pull it up asap and id be on my way after an easy depost:) Only problem i had once was with Eva. Jaquline was busy with somone and so i went to Eva. She asked me for my ID when normally youd just give them your credit card to use the last digits to look it up. She claimed she deposited it but after a week I didnt recieve my money. She thought i was making a payment to the bank:/ Luckily i called right away and we got it situated before my money was completely gone.”

“The Best Bank Ever.Great service always. I stayed with them even with others panicking because I didn't want to be part of destroying the only bank I've ever found with terrific customer service. Now that it's been taken over by Chase (which broke into our safe deposit box without notifying us, even though those fees had been regularly paid, and sent everything to the State as unclaimed property,) I can never trust that bank again. Another problem with the big banks is that they have a single phone number--you can't call the branches--and are faced with a confusing, multiple-guess menu with many barriers, if you can even get to a live person. If you do get someone live, it's likely they'll be in some foreign country and have limited English proficiency, and I don't want my banking information accessible to people who aren't even in the United States. Sad that depositors panicked and destroyed this wonderful bank. While I'm glad Chase will evidently protect my balance, their terrible customer service means I will bank elsewhere. I feel awful for the employees whose lives have been upended and hope they fare well.”
