“I've been a member of SFCU for about 20 years. The Customer Support has always been above par. My most recent encounter was no different. My son and I were helped by 'Jenny' at the Palo Alto branch. She took the time to help us with our accounts, answer question, and explain to my son, in great detail, everything he needed to know about credit cards and his options for saving money. We never felt rushed, and she had clear answers for all of our questions. You can't ask for more than that in a banking experience. Note: I only give four stars because I have to drive an hour to visit the nearest branch. But I realize that's not their fault.”

“Swooped and guided by Ms. Anju Nigam, the branch manager, I was welcomed to the office to help me understand the latest rates for longterm deposits. Though most transactions can be managed at the ATM or online, there is a continued need for human judgment and personal clarification of the "small font" details that impact, deposits, withdrawals and penalties. Most importantly, especially in these uncertain financial times, one needs guidance to plan emergency access with least hassle and cost. Ms. Nigam was patient, cool, collected, low-key and carried a conversation discreetly and preserving the "sanctity" of our conversations. Best of all, in offering personalized service, she helped us bon as we chatted about our grandchildren. Thank you!”

“I have been banking with City National Bank for 15 years for my business and personally, they always do an outstanding job. I own an escrow company, I rely heavily on CNB every day for sending wire transfers promptly, handling deposits and withdrawals efficiently and accurately. Many of my clients who are developers, business managers, accountants and attorneys bank with CNB as well. CNB helps with running my business efficiently and stress free. I have banked with other large banks in the past, it was a nightmare dealing with them. CNB has outstanding service compared to other banks.”

“If you want the feel of a hometown bank, with amazing staff that will remember you, great service, limited or no wait time, look no further than this location of Heritage Bank of Commerce.We've been clients of this bank's predecessor--Bank of Los Altos--since the late 90's when it was.We switched to them after nearby Wells Fargo's long lines wore us out!The original location was at El Camino and San Antonio (across from Chef Chu's).It was super--great staff, limited or no lines, easy to work with--and well located.That location merged with a location in downtown Los Altos, which for Palo Altans made the bank much harder to get to.Then one day we, while searching for the best route from downtown Palo Alto to Downtown Los Altos, we discovered this location. What--in Palo Alto?We were so happy.San Antonio had become slower and slower to traverse, with new developments and super long lights, we were tempted to change banks, but loved the great staff and service we'd gotten for years.Thank you for this lovely new location!!”

Although I arrived at the branch having no appointment Rafael was prompt in greeting me and learning of my need. Not only was Rafael competent and efficient he was also friendly and thoughtful. As he worked through my need to resolution he truly went above and beyond. He even discovered an issue I was unaware of that could have put my account security at risk and quickly righted the situation. “This review is based on the excellent service I received today from Elva Lee at the Palo Alto Citibank Branch. Recently, I visited the San Carlos location to have my checking account changed (I won't get into the specifics) but was told by the Branch Manager Sonny Kastilani that it could not be done without closing my account. It wasn't necessarily what he said but the condescending tone and smirk he had the whole time he was talking to me. He was extremely disrespectful and rude. I don't know how Citibank tolerates this behavior from any of their employees, let alone a person in charge who should be setting an example of how to treat customers. Elva took the time to look into my account - an account I've had with the bank dating back the 80s when it was opened with a now non-existent bank that was purchased by Citibank. She even called someone to find out exactly what could be done. The bottom line is she took the time to help me, got what I needed done, and is an extremely pleasant person. I was prepared to change banks after the service I received in San Carlos, but Elva changed my mind. She is a real asset to Citibank!”
