“Hi I'm a driver and I stop here periodically when I'm in the area to pick up water and snacks etc. Overall the majority of the staff is nice except for one of the ladies who wears a baseball cap. She can be nice one day and rude mostly rude.”
“We stayed in a hotel nearby in 2010 as we ended up stranded in la due to the ash cloud situation. So we ended up walking down to here quite often to buy snacks and drinks anything we needed. Staff were always friendly.”

“Starting sometime around 250 million years ago, an old swamp somewhere was covered with dirt and water. Over the years, the trees and plants and microorganisms were continually buried with sediment through rains and storms—through sunny days and hailstorms alike. Compacted further and further through the millennia, eventually this organic material turned itself into long chain hydrocarbon reservoirs. This happened over and over, effectively storing valuable solar energy and carbon dioxide from the atmosphere for our later use.
Just this very week, a buoyant vessel parked itself a mile or so offshore and connected to an undersea pipeline. With the power of the almighty vested through machinery and grit, some of those ancient hydrocarbons, drilled and extracted from far away lands, were sucked up into this fine century old facility.
Once ashore, some of the finest people our society could muster worked to turn these hydrocarbons into fuel for my wife’s Mercedes Benz G wagon, and other kerosenes and diesels we all rely upon to read this review comfortably and safely.
I know nothing about this place other than it’s a hulking leviathan, hissing and venting and brewing away, near my neighborhood. It brings a cautious comfort and calm—but revered with respect all the same.
The Chevron Products Company El Segundo Refinery is the emblem of the city: the citadel’s south border wall; its reason for existence and name.
Somewhere here in the refinery, the legacy of Standard Oil and our hard working brothers and sisters pulses on and powers us all.”

“There are some very compassionate people who work at this location. Kirbet or Kirbret is the name of an employee who helped me during an emergency I was having. She went out her way when she really didn't have to. This was my first visit to this location and the compassion that was shown to me will never be forgotten. Very clean store and very attentive employees.”
