“Trust me this is the best car guy to go to in Los Angeles. I am a woman and I'm also an audio engineer, and so I got so sick of the dealers lying to me about things that I know electronically are complete BS even though I don't know cars specifically. My neighbor had a 90s Jeep that just kept running, so i asked him who to go to and he recommended Rafi at Sniper. Every time I bring my car to him he charges me half or a quarter what a dealer or another car mechanic in this neighborhood has quoted me. And every time the car ends up driving way better when he does it than anybody else. This place takes real pride in their work and you can tell that they just tighten all the right bolts. I also really appreciated that when I first met Anu, one of the main workers under Rafi, he was working on my brakes and I started asking questions and he just lit up so happy to show me how things worked and explain. He has the really warm Vibes of like a dad or a grandpa who really wanted to show you his craft. These guys are honest and hard-working and they know their stuff and I could not recommend them more highly.”

“I stopped at United Oil while in Los Angeles, and it was a convenient place to fuel up and grab a few essentials. In a city where quick stops can sometimes turn into long waits, this location was easy to access and surprisingly efficient.

The gas station itself was clean and well maintained. The pumps were in good condition, and there was enough room to move around without feeling cramped, which can be a challenge at some Los Angeles stations. I didn’t have to wait long for a pump, and the payment process was straightforward. Everything worked smoothly, which made it a simple stop during a busy day.

Inside, the convenience store had a solid selection. I picked up a drink and a snack, and there were more options than I expected. Shelves were stocked well, and the layout was easy to navigate. It felt organized, which made getting in and out quick. The cashier was polite, and checkout moved without delay.

What stood out most was how practical the stop felt. It wasn’t anything overly fancy, but it did exactly what you want from a gas station — easy fueling, a clean store, and quick service. That reliability matters, especially when you’re driving around Los Angeles and don’t want to waste time searching for another place.

I also noticed several local customers stopping in, which usually says something about consistency. It seemed like a place regular drivers use because they know what to expect. The overall experience was smooth and uncomplicated.

If you’re in Los Angeles, CA and need a quick stop for gas, drinks, or snacks, United Oil is worth considering. It’s efficient, accessible, and made a routine errand much easier. I’d definitely stop there again next time I’m driving through the area.”

“Very good price every day, less cheap than Chevron or other super expensive gas station, and the gasoline is ok, not like Arco... because a lot of rumors said that Arco is not good gasoline”

“Yesterday the pump I was on ran out of gas and the lady that was working was very friendly and helped me clear things out and get into another pump and finish getting the rest of my gas. Great place”

“I came here prepared to buy a new tire but, before selling me a tire, the guy took the tire off to examine it. Turns out that I only need a stem so, instead of paying over $100 for a new tire, i paid $10 to repair mine. I've had no issues since. Honesty, integrity, and quality is what I look for when spending my money and this place has all 3. Highly recommended!”

“I had such a great experience here today! I just bought my car and this was my very first time getting a car wash, so I wasn’t sure what to do.

Rual was incredibly kind and helpful. He helped drive my car in, showed me how to choose the right option, and even stayed with me through the whole process to guide me.

I really appreciated his patience and support — it made my first car wash experience smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend this place!”

“It gets somewhat cramped I still havent figured the appropriate time to fill my gas tank. But yes the prices are lower than most of the surrounding area. They also have the equipment to self serve your windshield.”

“As of today, 26th of February, 2026, the cost per gallon of propane is $2.75 + tax (9.75% City of Los Angeles). It averages out to approximately $3.00 per gallon of propane. No minimum purchase required. Must be over 18 or 21 to purchase.

The two handsome Spanish & English speaking service guys were very clean, helpful and friendly. If they are slow and no lines, they will even help you with your propane tank(s) to your car ?, truck ?, van ?, roach ? coach or shopping ? cart!

Note: The other place down the street on 14th Street and Alameda that also sold propane for $2.89/Gallon has closed down.

Hope this helps. If you're reading this review and the cost of propane per gallon has either gone up or down at this location, please update price via a review to make it more current and of great help to others! Perhaps the same way this review might have been of some help to you and many others.

Happy BBQ Grilling, Food Truck Hopping and/or Propane Forklift Driving!

Cheers my smart El Cheapo Angeleno shoppers!”

“Saved the day!

Edwin took care of my dying alternator late in the day on a Saturday. I had work on Sunday, so without him, I wouldn’t be able to drive!

I bought my own alternator (thankfully in stock at autozone), and it was done within an hour. Labor was reasonably priced.

So thankful they could help me out on short notice.”

“Chris was extremely helpful! He made a very complicated process easy and even pulled the truck up for me and helped me buy pumping the gas while I grabbed some soda at the station. Very convenient and I’m glad he approached because the UHAUL website says you can self-pick up at 24/7 locations and you cannot. Thank you Chris!”

“Milo the mechanic is excellent! He is professional and extremely knowledgeable about cars. He is tenacious and will go above and beyond the Status quo to fix your car. My Nissan armada had an issue with passing the smog check due to it was reading not ready. It took a few days, he replaced the necessary parts and literally took my car out himself along with his coworker to drive it around after I failed with driving it about 160 miles with no success! Any other mechanic would have said oh well sorry it can't be fixed!
Go see Milo!??❤
I truly believe I was led to him by the Holy Spirit ?”

“Wow! Way behind on writing this review. Have been visiting this spot for gas for so many years. Prices are always very competitive. Has a great store with huge selection and neat shelves of cool diecast toys for impulse buys. Have been seeing the cool tanks and other awesome vehicles for so long, taken it for granted, but always fun to see what gets added to collection. A real gem here!”

“Busy intersection overall was happy to see the Chevron sign/colors. I only use Chevron. I've never seen the gas pump illuminated on any vehicle I've owned until 6 days ago. I prayed to make it to a Chevron station, God made a way. Thankful for Z & P Oil Chevron #309226 at La Cienega and Jefferson in Los Angeles CA...Ahmed was the helpful cashier. Highly Recommend Chevron gas ⛽”

“A definite hidden gem. As a woman, I'm very careful about who I go to and who I recommend. That said, this shop is peak! Excellent service. Davis is class. Immaculate vibes, the best front desk you could ask for. The kind of old school service that you really don't see these days. No rush. No pressure. Very informative and good energy. The smog service was efficient, fast, and detailed. I know how a smog works, thanks to them!”

“Usually pretty busy but if you go at the right time, you can get a good spot quick and it’s easy access to the 405 or the two if you’re going down to the ocean it’s definitely a better price. Gas is the cheapest point before you get into Santa Monica, Venice, Brentwood and then going the other way Beverly Hills, of course It’s an older station the area surrounding it is not the best to go in at night but it’s still safe, well lit and affordable this gas station provides 87,89 and 91.”

“The price at one gas station is lower than at the other. That is why I always pick them to fill up my car with gas. Additionally, their staff is the most accommodating. A big thank you!”

“I was trying to compare prices to other stations. I got to this one, and it was 40 cents more. 40 cents, in this economy ?? I paid on the pump, and for a second it wasn't pumping. It took about a minute till I was able to pump.”

“This place has the best gasoline prices in town for high-end fuel (76, Chevron, Shell, and Mobil are the only fuel brands recommended for high-profile vehicles like mine.)
The gentleman behind the counter is also very nice! I love coming here!”

“This is my preferred gas station. And I don't just mean by brand I mean this exact location. When I can I will stop at this one. It's always just a couple cents cheaper than all the other local options and it's not so far out of my commute to be inconvenient. Very accessible from every direction, though sometimes going South on Eagle Rock can be a bit of a tricky dippy. Parts of their asphalt need some repair - on the York side especially. Inside is .. well a gas station, not the cleanest, sometimes people may ask you for change (what gas station doesn't have that) but I've gone here day or night for years and it's never been too bad, though it is popular and can get backed up at rush hour. I don't think that's a mark against it though, just means other people prefer it like I do.”

“It is a place with many services, I advise the public to leave their money but they never provide the bathroom and I never cared that all the time I put gas there and use the car wash more. They don't let my 6-year-old girl use the bathroom and they say it's the owner who doesn't allow it, but if he has a place, it's very bad for the public.”
