“We recently hosted our daughter’s Henna Party at Sunshine Event Center, and it was absolutely perfect. The venue itself is beautiful, unique, and full of character. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was the ideal space. It was such a fun place to set up and decorate, and it provided the perfect foundation for bringing my vision to life. The charm and atmosphere truly made the celebration feel special.

Sage, the coordinator, was wonderful to work with—accommodating and helpful, and she made the process smooth and easy.

Highly recommend Sunshine Event Center for any special event!”

“Great Venue! The building is actually a sports complex, however, it transformed to a multipurpose facility this weekend. The Creative Space and Sacramento Asian Pacific Cultural Village hosted the first ever Asian Pacific CultureFest and we were here to support local small businesses. My daughter actually was one of the 80+ vendors who participated. SASF is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1994. This nice, large, clean facility can accommodate different types of community and sporting events and can hold a lot of people. It is actually a basketball gym and is located in the Laguna West area in Elk Grove (near the Apple Computer facility on Laguna Blvd). Family-friendly place. The venue and the staff were great! There were restrooms in the facility and also an in-house kitchen for other types of events that will need one. Well-kept grounds with plenty of parking. I had a fun time supporting entrepreneurs and small businesses. I didn't have any difficulty finding the place. Review #2576”

“This theater is very nice compared to the theaters near the area I live. The only part of this theater that can be shaky is the attitude of the employees, but not all are like this. Overall, the experience is exceptional.”

“This is a nice place to hold a party. It can be accessed by the general public do I recommend security to monitor the incoming folks. They do expect you to leave it clean before you go, I recommend having a solid plan to leave it clean when it is time to go.”

“A Delightful Experience at Old Town Plaza’s Cherry Blossom Event

Nestled at 9615 Railroad St, Elk Grove, CA 95624, Old Town Plaza proved to be the perfect setting for the recent Cherry Blossom event, which my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of participating in as vendors. Our experience was nothing short of wonderful, and Old Town Plaza left a lasting impression with its charm and hospitality.

One of the first things that struck us was the ample parking available along the street, making it convenient for attendees to access the event without hassle. As we explored the plaza, we were delighted to see the vibrant showcase of Japanese culture, from traditional performances to beautifully adorned displays celebrating the cherry blossom season.

The highlight of the event, undoubtedly, was the array of vendors offering a diverse selection of goods. From handcrafted jewelry to unique artwork, there was something to captivate every visitor. However, it was the food vendors that stole the show, offering a tantalizing assortment of Japanese delicacies. Each bite was a culinary delight, showcasing the quality and authenticity of the cuisine.

Moreover, the atmosphere at Old Town Plaza was filled with warmth and camaraderie. Attendees mingled with ease, sharing in the joy of the festivities and forging new connections. It was a testament to the sense of community fostered by events such as this.

Overall, our experience at Old Town Plaza’s Cherry Blossom event was nothing short of memorable. The combination of cultural immersion, delectable food offerings, and welcoming ambiance made it an event to remember. We look forward to future events at Old Town Plaza and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a taste of Japanese culture and a delightful community experience.”

“This holiday inn express is well run and the rooms are in great condition. Staff were helpful and fast, even when I was checking in late. Note that you need to give your license plate number for parking. The lobby has lots of seating and two guest computers with a laser printer.

My room was spacious, although the lack of seating is annoying when you're taking shoes on and off. The beds are a nice medium firm with no issues and good linens. I appreciate the newer clock radio with USB-C PD charging. It took a few minutes for the thermostat to respond to me, but it had all the adjustability I needed, and the air conditioner wasn't loud at all.

There are the usual amenities in the bathroom, along with a generous supply of towels, although they're rather thin and rough. The shower got sufficiently warm and water pressure was good.

There's a selection of free coffee and tea, work desk, and adjustable reading lights. All the lights have a cold color temperature which looks harsh at night. The ceiling had a slight creak when the guest above me walked on their floor.

The breakfast buffet was quite generous with two kinds of mini omelettes, turkey sausage, potatoes, pancake machine, cinnamon rolls, baked goods, cereal, juices, oatmeal, and coffees. There is also a mini-mart to purchase small lunch and dinner meals.

Although I have small complaints, this hotel is a great value and there are no dealbreakers for me.”

“We’ve been going there since 2020. My oldest daughter was in the parent participation class at 18 months old. She is now in the hot shots class. My oldest son did ninja class for a bit and then moved onto super dude and is now in the competition team. My youngest son is in the boys class. They all absolutely love it here.”

“Everything about this place was amazing. We stayed here for a week due to a family emergency and the staff were so kind and helpful, the rooms were extremely clean and it was located very centrally, maybe 5 miles from a Walmart and Trader Joe’s and tons of dining options. Great place to stay, will stay again if we come out there.”
