“Nice place to walk your dogs, even during winter, which is when we were last there. The rose garden has a huge number of historical rose varieties, and while there were a number of plants that still had fragrant blooms, the spring and summer would be the best time to enjoy them.”

“This is some of the best food and service I've had in a long time...and I eat out a LOT. Had the grilled salmon, whiskey flight and a rye old fashioned. Beautiful!”

“I can't recommend this place enough! Remy & Jennifer own The Creative Space and are a pleasure to work with! I'm lucky enough to be able to host our Grazing Gouda Charcuterie Classes here a few times a month! This place is perfect if you need an event space to rent, but they specialize in highlighting local artisans to come and teach their craft at their beautiful location! Every weekend they have popups with lots of Sacramento small businesses and they go above and beyond for the community! I have such a great time teaching classes here and my guests really enjoy them! It's a great location too!”

“Live music, good food, beautiful atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious wine. An estate vineyard you can see the grapes that you're drinking.I especially enjoy the Fiano, Chardonnay, tempranillo and bender red blend. If you want to bring a fun, dessert sparkling wine to a party, pick up a bottle of their Sparkling Almond”

“We love Wolfe Heights. We met Felipe, the proprietor, pouring his wine at an event, made one visit, and became members after falling in love with the grounds. This kind of secret semi-hidden gem for was tempting to keep quiet for selfish reasons, but you deserve to know and Felipe and Wolfe Heights should be celebrated. The wine is great. Lots of variety and fantastic prices. Check it out.”

“We were looking for something to do over Spring Break and I found this museum on Google. What a COOL place!! We arrived right when they opened on a Wednesday and there were already other people arriving, as well. The cashier was friendly and helpful. It’s a self-guided tour but there are also volunteers who walk around and answer questions or will take you on the tour. It was so interesting and helpful to have a volunteer explain things we maybe wouldn’t have figured out going along by ourselves and reading signs. It’s was SO cool to start at the beginning of the timeline in the 1800s and see the first engine powered “buggy” (think small horse buggy with no horse) and how that progressed, pretty quickly to gas powered vehicles. See their evolution was awesome! My teenage son LOVES cars, so he really enjoyed himself, as well. The current featured exhibit is low-riders with female owners. Such beautiful, cool cars! This Summer the exhibit willBe VW Busses so I think we’ll go back! Definitely a cool place to visit!”

“I was at the estate and winery for a wedding reception in November. The parking was adequate, the restrooms were close to the reception hall was large enough for the guests, dj and dance floor, buffet tables, and outdoor bar made the experience pleasant. Staff working at the reception were very courteous and helpful.”

“Came for dinner when we couldn't find any other restaurant open after a night of line dancing. How lucky we did! We still haven't stopped talking about how delicious the deviled eggs were or how we wiped our plates with our fingers to get every morsel. The only thing we didn't order was our table - it was drafty and cold.”

“I went here on July 15 to see Beauty of Japan which I recommend seeing if you can, they were all very passionate about their performance. Also, the theater was nice (only complaint was that there was no AC on a hot evening but I'm not sure if they don't have AC or chose not to use it...). Comfortable seating and easy to see the stage.”

“Absolutely lives up in to the hype. I’ve been to tons of Michelin starred restaurants but The Kitchen is DIFFERENT. It’s somehow a mix of Michelin quality food/service while maintaining a rager atmosphere. When they say you can walk around the kitchen and ask questions, they really aren’t kidding. It’s an incredible experiences. I can’t recommend enough,”

“This is our favorite place for a fancy date night. We’ve been here several times and it never disappoints. Andrea is the best staff there, he’s so attentive and knows the food/drinks very well. Have tried many other places in Sac but we keep coming back because their service and food is hard to beat. First class service since you walk through the door!”

“I want to express how happy we all were with the food, venue and outstanding service we received at our son and daughter in laws wedding. It was so beautifully decorated and all our quests and vendors shared with us that the food, was delicious and the customer service was fantastic. It rained the day of the wedding and how they organized the venue to make us feel comfortable was impressive. We felt no inconvenience from the rain. We highly recommend The Pavilion at Haggin Oaks for receptions or any business or family gatherings. They are very professional and so welling to please and it will be a memorable time that will forever be in our hearts.”

“The hotel itself is nice, and the lobby looks elegant. The room is standard fare, and does not include a fridge. The biggest problem with this hotel is the lack of parking associated with the hotel. You have to find separate parking, the closest one being the garage next door that you have to pay minimum $6 or $18 for overnight. And the hotel does not validate parking.”

“Location easy to get to and affordable parking less than two blocks away. The banquet hall is on the lower level and seems a little dark but a creative hand can turn the space into a beautiful setting. We had our company holiday party there and there was plenty of room for approximately 140 guests, a dessert bar, food tables, and a number of other tables/podiums, etc. There's space for a bar, and a quaint little elevator takes you up and down if you don't want to subject your heeled feet to stairs. Bathrooms were cleaned and well stocked. There's an entry area before you walk into the banquet hall where our photo booth was set up. All in all, a good location with the makings for whatever theme your imagination can come up with.”

“Great food in open kitchen and bar that allows for a larger group but leaves space for intimate space when needed. Pizza is the best but remember to try some pasta dishes as well. Beer and wine selection is nice display of local and some larger brewers that match well with all ”

“I wish I could give Sterling Hotel more than 5/5 stars because they were beyond amazing! I was seeking an all-inclusive place to host our reception because I had limited time to plan and also knew my limits (I did not have a vision at all and needed to heavily rely on my planners). From the first day and the many months that I worked with Mikayla, Taylor, Scout, and Julia, I felt completely confident that my reception would be beautiful in every way. Not only were they prompt in responding to our inquiries, but they had an expert eye and opinion (when asked, of course, and I asked a lot!) for what works best, which was a huge help. I barely had to think or worry about planning because they were actively planning on my behalf every step of the way. The day of could not have gone better with Anelise as our day-of coordinator and Kortney, our banquet captain. They were so attentive the entire time and made sure that we had a hassle free, worry free evening so we could focus on spending time with our family and friends. The day after our reception, I wished I could do it again because I had the BEST time. Who can say they feel that way about wedding planning? I feel this way in large part because of Sterling's excellent service. Thank you again Sterling, for everything you did for us!”
