“I like to support mom & pop owned stores. I'm not sure about the mom & pop owned part but, this is NOT part of a chain. I could actually spend hours inside this little gem of a hardware store. They have a little of everything and of course, all of the stuff one goes to a hardware store for which I call "grown up stuff" (nails, screws, paint brushes, THAT kinda stuff). The man that helped me was great, he was knowledgeable and helpful but, left me alone so that, I could wander the aisles and buy stuff I didn't even know I needed but, now can't live without. I highly recommend North Hollywood Hardware.”
“I love this store. Even though there's been times where I've gone there to make a purchase and their system was down and they couldn't sell anything or other times where the store was not open during hours of operation, I have had excellent customer service Experiences every time. The most recent was yesterday when I visited the store to purchase additional paint and Ryan was so patient and doing a color match for me and then another canned that I needed it which they didn't have in stock for him to locate at another location and tell me that he could actually drop it off first thing tomorrow morning on his way to work as I am two blocks away from the store customer service at its finest! Thank you Ryan for all that you do”

“I just had the best experience at this store thanks to Edward.I wanted to paint my entire apartment for the first time, but had no idea what was the best store to buy paints. I was trying to choose between Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Lowes, when a friend of mine recommended Dunn Edwards and I'm so glad he did because I couldn't be any happier with the color and sheens I selected. My apartment looks amazing!But none of it would have been possible without the help of Edward, the first person to greet me when I entered the store. Edward was totally kind, friendly, funny and took his time to help me decide on my colors, sheens and quality of paint.I needed to go into the store 3 times so I could pick up various color samples to tape to my cabinets and walls so I could ensure I chose all the right colors before actually buying my paints. And each time I went, Edward was equally kind, friendly and helpful. My entire experience at the store was always fun and relaxing thanks to Edward.And now after two weeks of sanding, prepping and painting, seeing my new bright, shiny kitchen cabinets and all my walls freshly painted, I couldn't be any happier with the quality of paint and the colors and sheens.I totally recommend Dunn Edwards quality paint and this West L.A. store in particular. “Love this place. I opened up my own mobile paint correction business and wanted to use more high-end products like Glasurit. If you want extremely cheap products they will have a variety and if you're willing to spend a little extra they have it all as well. John is always helpful and assists me with situations I come across. Never have been upsold by them and are always going out of their way showing me the differences in brands and products and how I could cut my costs down to be able to work on more cars. Lots of respect towards you guys, need more people like you guys in the industry.”

“Recently came by to get my plaster matched. I was fortunate enough to have Evan help me. Super kind! I can tell Evan tried his best to match my original formula and I so appreciate that! He did warn me ahead of time that it would be difficult to match because we were going from gallon to a quart and the minimum amount of blue was already being used in the gallon. Once I came home I used the plaster and could not tell there was a noticeable difference until it dried. I called Benjamin Moore and Evan answered. He had the best customer service and remembered the situation. I can tell he just wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my color. I told him I'd just come back to purchase the gallon to get the exact color match and he was kind enough to offer a price adjustment. I went in another day to get a gallon to match my original formula exactly and there was another young man who was there (i won't call out his name). I tried to explain to him the situation but he was adamant about not giving me an adjustment unless I had the quart can even though I had already spoken to Evan about it. He said I could go home and come back if I wanted the price adjustment. Such an inconvenience. Although he was probably right about me needing to bring back the quart can, I was extremely disappointed and turned off by the lack of understanding that he had. It was Evan's customer service that had me come back the second time despite not having the exact color match. Thank you Evan and Gabe. You both were very kind and I appreciate you guys going the extra mile to accommodate your customers.”
“One of the few gems/Mom and Pop type stores left in our once great city, this location is just that. This team/staff as well as owner take care and mix it with a pinch of quality cust service that is knowledgeable and well versed about the very community of professional tradesmen that they cater to... When it comes to getting particular high end paints and materials, there is no question as to whom I trust, Shilpark and the staff consistently go above and beyond to make the cust happy and whole. All Staff whom preside here put there all in 24/7, so much so that Victor was even willing to wait a few minutes after the regular store hours to get what I needed in my hands prior to the weekend close, saving me hours if not days of more work time, for that Im grateful....If you need anything paint related, this is your spot in the west LA area... now you know.”
“I am not a pro auto painter but have painted a few cars a year for the last 20 yrs(a few motor cycles and some spot repairs) all i can say is they have done a great job matching any color that i have needed including custom pearls metalics and pastels. They have very good prices and good service.The only complaint i would have is sometimes they close a bit early if bussiness is slow so just call ahead if you are going to get there close to closing time. I highly recomend them if you have a hard to match color or just need common body shop supplies.”

“DUNN-EDWARDS PAINTS in Encino is easy to find and easy to get into. They have their own free parking lot with plenty of available spaces.The people are friendly and helpful, but did not hover. I was able to take my time choosing the right shade of "white". Boring, I know, but I was surprised by how many there are.I was able to narrow down my choices and take home the card samplers to show my contractor, who was then able to get small samples for testing.Very convenient. My project is done and I am very happy with the way the color turned out.Now that it's time for another painting project...”
