“I recently had a comically bad day where everything broke or stopped working. It all crescendoed with my car starting to throw lights at me. I was recommend Down to Earth Auto by a local shop on the main strip who were booked out. The guy at the front who recommended me said “I’d send my mother there”.
When I tell you the people here were the best, I couldn’t mean it more. They were very attentive, listening to what was going on and didn’t brush me aside when I told them what I thought it could be (any other girl with a car knows what im talking about). They quoted me well and got the main problem fixed within an hour at a good price. Unfortunately the body shop that redid the paint from the last owner painted over the grounding wire so there were some underlying other problems and I had to leave the car to be inspected.
Then of course I caught norovirus and felt horrible letting these guys know I couldn’t come in to grab my car but would pay any fee for leaving it there. They reassured me that there wouldn’t be a fee, my car was safe behind their locked gate, and it was no problem to leave it over the weekend no charge. Picked my car up on Monday and she sounds great!
Seriously a blessing, highly recommend!”

“I am a single women who was looking for break pads rodars calibers for an older truck. I had taken my truck to another shop first because I thought that this was a standard job that most shops do for about the same price. I was extremely wrong about this. The firSt shop was asking 3200.00 dollars. I took it to another shop that said they would do the same work for 1000.00 dollars less. My father who lives across the country explained to me what I should be paying and told me I would be foolish to pay this. I found Wayne from a friend and called him. He quoted me a number much less and wound up doing the same work for less then he quoted me and all together for 2000.00 dollars less. I can't even began to understand this. My father who is a good mechanic said that's an honest number take my truck back there and have him do all the other little things I want done. I will do this. This is I believe the second review I have ever written. I just want to thank Wayne as much as I can.”
“Our family was stranded far from home in our Ford F-53 motorhome with a difficult misfire and catalytic-converter problem. Riley, Justin, and the Pro Pacific team made room for our large coach, coordinated directly with Ford on the warranty process, used advanced diagnostics, and stayed with the problem until they found the underlying ignition issue and got us safely back on the road.
What impressed me most was their persistence and personal commitment. This was not a simple diagnosis, but the team kept testing, explaining what they were seeing, and working toward the real cause. Riley continued managing the warranty claim after we left and followed through all the way to completion.
Very few shops can handle Ford warranty work on a motorhome, and even fewer will step up for a stranded family traveling through the area. We are genuinely grateful to Pro Pacific and would confidently recommend them for capable, determined automotive or RV repair in Eureka and Humboldt County.”

“Can’t say enough about how happy we are with this place. We had a new engine in our 05 Dodge and it was throwing all kinds of codes. He took us in immediately and spent over an hour before he found pinched and corroded wires going to the AC. He spliced in a new wire that came from one of his old cores (5.9 Cummins) and sent us on our way to see our son in Chico . After a 7 hour flawless drive we made it over many mountain passes without any issues. These guys know trucks and diesel engines. If you need a truck fixed or upgraded you won’t find a better shop period.”

“The day after learning that my car was totaled and me being completely unprepared to navigate buying another vehicle, Scott was the man for the job! His no-sales-pitchy attitude and calm demeanor was exactly what I needed to get me through this stressful event in my life. I could have been a bit more prepared to arrive at their facility (you know, the obvious things like making sure you unfreeze your credit before showing up on a Saturday when everybody's closed), but he was so kind, walking me through the process, and beyond patient and friendly about my unpreparedness.
On top of it, Drew was very friendly, accommodating, and quickly got me out the door once I had my ducks in a row.
If you're not sure where to get a car A) Why are you not thinking of a Subaru, and B) Make sure you check out McCrea Subaru and ask for Scott! You will not be sorry.”

“Always did me right with used outboards. Bought from private sellers and always ended up with worn out motors with problems, when these guys sell you an old used motor it will be dependable and still have plenty of hours left on it to enjoy. Not everyone has thousands of dollars for an outboard and buying used from individuals is risky but these guys do the hard work so the customer on a budget gets a seriously good deal. The last motor I bought was around $1000 and it operates flawlessly from the moment I put it on my boat. Now I need one with a longer shaft for my new boat and I am heading here first.”

“I was traveling with my friends on my Indian Pursuit from NYC, and about 200 miles before this service I noticed some strange noises. It was hard to tell what was going on, and we barely managed to find any service late in the afternoon. I left my bike with them before they closed, and they promised to take care of it the next day (Saturday). The bearings on the rear wheel were smashed! They were able to find a replacement, and the bike was ready to go by 12 pm. They saved my time and the whole trip. Thank you!”
