    “Wow what a surprise here. I usually have to go up here in Fortuna for week and the lack of food options makes the trip a drag but I'm glad I stumbled on here. First off the lighting in there was immaculate and it was the cleanest grocery store I've ever been in. I was just browsing but once I saw they had a deli counter I gad to get something. I got the pork belly rice bowl which is excellent and reminded me of the food I eat down south in San Gabriel valley. I'm here on work so I didn't shop for groceries but if I lived here this would definitely be a go to spot! Will be returning whenever I'm in town.”

    “This is one of my go to places to shop! Prices are below average the average for this area! They have a wide selection of items ranging from everyday essentials like toiletries, milk, soda and cell phone accessories to things like DVDs, gift cards and seasonal holiday items! The staff is friendly and I especially love Macy! The different colors of hairs from week to week accentuate her personality and customer service skills! Always a joy walking in to her friendly smile!”

    “Reasonable price. Very clean. They now have curbside pick up. I have been driving into Fortuna at 6am so that I could get my grocery shopping done before there were other people in Safeway. Now that they have online shopping and curbside pickup I can do all my shopping online, set up a delivery time and never go into the store. The personal shoppers are absolutely awesome. They do a better job of selecting meat and produce than I could. The delivery is so easy. I pull into a marked space call the number on the sign and a couple of minutes later my trunk is loaded with my shopping and I am on the way home.”

    “Very Good! I love the lime popsicles here, I never see any bugs and the lady at the counter is very nice! Infinity out of ten! I speak Spanish and she is very kind and respectful to others.     “Wonderful customer service! We recently helped a friend host a huge celebration and Maria in the Deli Department is an absolute STAR! Her patience and guidance in helping us select the right type and amounts of salads, beans and absolutely yummy garlic bread made the party a rousing success. And - she and her team went above and beyond decorating 4 cakes that were gobbled up by a very happy crowd!     “Imagine it's midnight, you're working hard on your philosophy paper and realize you haven't eaten since you started at 6 - you run to Safeway where theres a million aisles and you're new in town so you don't know where everything is. This is where Rylo came in clutch for me last night. Had a list of stuff to make for a salad and had all but 2 ingredients. I didn't wanna bother him because he seemed busy but when I asked for help he wasn't afraid to come to the rescue. He directed me to my missing salad ingredients and shared a nice story about how helping another customer allowed him to know where my ingredient was. SUPERB! It was late so i know he was a one man army, but he even made sure to make things look nice after i grabbed my stuff - talk about above and beyond. I hope Rylo's manager lets him know what a difference he makes in the store - what an awesome guy and an awesome experience at my new local Safeway. P.s. it was very clean and i appreciate that.”

On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast.
