“The owner is very nice, and helpful. He is doing such an incredible job at making this local business thrive and become more apart of the community by giving locals jobs, starting to buy produce from local farmers and over all trying to extend a lot of things in the store.”

“A couple of days ago, while waiting on line, a young lady was short some money on her total, and the cashier took money out of her own pocket to help. The whole staff there is so sweet and helpful!”

“Friendly staff and great prices! The meat department cut a custom standing rib roast for me on the spot (bone-in [3] end cut for about $48.00) and as I walked through the store I noticed prices were better than other stores that I normally shop.”

“Great store - as always. We shop there at least once a week and usually in between to fill in on produce or fresh items.Watch for the in-store markdowns on close dated items - they had Califia Barista Blend for $0.97 recently - but they had just sold out. The staff are hard working and friendly. Highly recommend.”

“Great place to get meat at if you live in the area or if you're passing through to just get gas and a quick bite. They do have a good section where you can grab some food and eat on the go or eat outside on their benches.”

“Everyone was friendly and kind. I just recently moved nearby and don’t have a car so I tend to only get what I can carry but the friendly staff offered to get me a basket, the staff stocking the shelves offered assistance multiple times, and the cashier that helped check me out was very friendly and sociable. Definitely coming back.”

“This place is pretty great for what it is. There has been some lows in the past but ever since they've got a new owner it's been improving. Lilly is by far the best Cashier, she's very nice. I really wish the others were a bit more interactive and considerate. They have quite a lot of stock, and being 20 second running distance makes this place very "convenient". The prices are fair considering they are a smaller sized retailer. There are of course going to be some things they can improved on, but I'm excited to see how they grow as time passes. They recently (today) got a little bit of competition, in the produce department. I'm hoping that sparks a little bit of competitive spirit. As no longer will Loleta Market have a full monopoly on its town.I recommend this place if you need something real quick, if you want a drink for the road or anything else simple like that. If you find something displeasing about the store, tell the cashier's in a kind manner in hopes it will reach the owner. Remember they are human, some having to work as late as 10pm for our convenience. Have a great day y'all!”

“Friendly staff. Had lunch here with my son. We ordered 2 chicken strips, 2 sides of macaroni and cheese, and a side of cheese stuffed tater tots. The tator tots were really good. We got bbq and fry sauce for dipping. It was a overall good experience.”

“I was looking to buy an angel food cake, and asked a very nice lady if she knew if there was any, today. She said all there is sugar free, and then another bakery worker, came out from the bakery and said that he will get me one!!! YAYAnd he went and got me one, and packaged it right up for me.. That employee's name is Ryan, in the Fortuna Ca store, #975, bakery department.Let me tell you I was so happy!!!”

“I live fairly close to this location, so I shop here often. While the price points are a little higher than I prefer (Winco prices are better) I am happy to pay a little more for the convenience of being close to home and having my items bagged for me. There are lots of employees who have worked at the Fortuna location for years, and I love seeing familiar faces almost every time I go in. Staff is so kind there! The current manager, Ariel, is the sweetest. She always says hi when I see her in the store, always asks if I found everything I needed, and if I haven't, she offers to check the back for me or show me where it is. She genuinely cares about doing her job well, and it shows. This location continues to increase the amount of organic and health food items they carry, and I love that! Their produce section has a convenience shelf where I can buy things like pre-sliced vegetables and pico de Gallo, which I appreciate. They also have a heavily discounted shelf at the back of the store by the customer restroom where you can buy heavily discounted items that are either out of season, have some small imperfection, or had the outer packaging opened. I'm so happy to have a Safeway here in town, and always appreciate the service I'm provided.”
