“A solid 5 stars for Adams Street Shipping! This business is under new ownership and we are so glad to have them here in St. Helena. They are friendly and very helpful. Keep in mind that this is a small LOCAL business and it is NOT UPS or Fed Ex... so they do not get paid when you bring your returns to them. Their small handling fee is definitely worth having them take and track your packages for you. I certainly don't want to drive to Napa for my business and very happy to keep it local with a great team and owners! Thanks for always being so wonderful when I come into your store.”

“Made an appointment online for three passports. Waited for about 5 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Got the photos taken, handed the lady all the documents (already filled out). Took less than 30 minutes for her to process all three passport applications and charge us the fees. Very efficient and friendly staff. Please make an appointment, the process goes extremely fast.”
“A great neighborhood post office that serves a small community. If you take the time to get to know the 2 people who work there you will see they care. The postmaster and the clerk Stacie are hardworking lovely people who problem solve and help me and my family every day. Please stay away from our neighborhood post office if you are entitled or rude. We would prefer to have people who live by the golden rule.

“Fast, professional and excellent service. We had tried to ship out a large chandelier at a few other UPS stores including in Sonoma Valley (95476) and San Rafael. Neither store would ship it. We went to other shipment stores and were quoted very high prices. The Chandelier wasn't heavy but it was large. Not only were we quoted a price that was 75% less than at other places (Roughly, we paid $250 rather than quotes as high as $1,000), but the package arrived only a few days later and in perfect condition. It had to go from CA to IL. Everyone was happy. I will be traveling out of Sonoma Valley to this store in Petaluma for my future shipment needs.”

“Although this facility does not provide the particular service I sought; the employee Cara was able to facilitate my request through alternate means in a way that reflects the ethos of FedEx quite positively. Because of one employee’s performance it is now ‘bye-bye UPS, hello FedEx’ for me - I’ve been converted. Ten stars if I could give them.”

“After reading all the bad reviews, I almost regretted making an appointment here to process a passport.
When I arrived the lady at the counter had a smile on her face... I thought, how can this be possible? this doesn't make sense lol.
Long story short, I don't remember the lady's name, I think it was Carolina (I apologize if that's not it). The important things is that she was the nicest, most helpful person I ever dealt with at a post office.
Maybe the rude lady left/got fired, or maybe it was just my lucky Tuesday at 10 a.m.”
“There was such a great experience because a nice and beautiful lady with gray hair and bob haircut helped me with no hesitation with something I always had issues when my parcels were not delivered because of a typo in address and they were sent back even when I had envelopes and magazines. “The Glen Ellen post office and its staff are a great benefit to those of us who live here. I have been there easily 250+ times over the past 10 years, and used most services eg packages of all sizes, delivery times from urgent to not, packing help needed or not, domestic and international. The staff is polite, friendly (and knows locals' first names), and knowledgeable. They also care about your money: if there is a particular type of envelope for overnight or other expedited service that will get it there at roughly the same time as a different one sized the same, they let you know before you commit to the more costly one because you were not aware. You are a person to them, not a transaction. The facility is clean. Closing time, to them, means you can walk in the door at precisely that time and they take care of you; no "that would take 10 minutes and we are now closed." We keep a p.o. box there, and they have a terrific and very easy system to get your packages if over-sized and unable to fit in your box: with no assistance needed, so can do by yourself on weekends as well, speedily. Lots of parking in a dedicated lot right there. And an outdoor drive-through mailbox: you pull your car up, open your driver's side window, drop whatever you are mailing into the secure box, then be on your way without having even exited the car. I almost never post reviews. But when I saw this rating I was taken aback. It very simply does not reflect whatsoever how people around here feel, in fact the it's opposite. Every post office should operate like this one does, and we are lucky to have it.”
