“I am VERY suprised at the low ratings for the Henley!! My husband and I lived at the Columbus Location (not Lorraine) for the past 3 years and we LOVED it. We found the moving in/out process to be smooth, the communication with the team effective, and the complex was always clean. We never had any issues with the neighbors, packages and mail could be left around no problem, and the place always felt safe. I definitely want to take the time to give a serious shout out to the maintanence worker (MIchael) who came same day or next day for any and all of our requests- whether it was changing our kitchen light, to a clogged toilet, or a broken dryer. He showed up and resolved it immediately. This was our first home together as a married couple and the Henley did not dissappoint <3”

“I do not know where to start to be appreciative enough for this apartment community. I am not a good writer but I would like to express my gratitude somehow for this community.I have moved here about 3 years ago. I really needed a community where people are nice and kind with safe environment. As you can see here in the review, there are some flaws, of course. Nothing in this world is perfect. Buildings are not the newest, and slow maintenance, etc.However, there are so much more to this apartment community.First, it is located in one of the most safe area in LA county. Grey star (New management company since 2022) hired patrol officers for community security, and there are police officers by elementary school in the morning, and of course there are officers patrolling all the time as well. There is community college right across the street, so they want to make sure it's safe environment.Second, this is very family oriented community. There are many families reside in this community and we all know each other, and look out for our children all together. We try to include each other and have better relationship if possible, at any opportunity. It is very difficult to associate with strangers nowadays, but in this community, I was able to make a lot of new mom friends and so as my children.Third, as I mentioned earlier, people complain about the maintenance, but let me tell you. There are two awesome main maintenance staffs, they always greets with smile and they try to help you as soon as possible. This is a decent sized community with some construction needs. But Grey star bought the property just like this and I have seen people coming in to estimate (?) the circumstance quite often. I asked the manager and she said they are people who will proceed with construction, and it takes a while due to the California State government permission or some sort. It will be a big change. I appreciate the management pushing through with fixer upper. But I am sure this will help in the long run for everyone.Fourth, the amenities are very nice. As you can see in the website, the pool is huge! 7ft deep. During the summer time, a lot of people make friends and hang out together. I love this time of the year. Also, there is movie room, game room you can rent for birth day parties, and vending machine too!Lastly, the managers are very diligent. I have heard some people complain, but so far for me and my friends (neighbors) experienced great communication. They might not be always putting smily face all the time (don't we all?) but once you get to know them, they are very kind, sweet and passionate to get things done as quick as possible. I actually just spoke with one of the manager about community gathering events, such as yard sale or parents meeting, etc. and She was very enthusiastic to put community together. I really appreciate all the efforts.To my neighbors and management team, I have learned and received so much from this community and I can never be able to show my appreciation enough.There are other things that I can talk about all day long, but I think you can determine about this community enough from my testimony.Wherever I go, I try to see good things all the time, but this community was definitely above and beyond my expectation.Home is wherever you make it as a home right?
