“I lived here for almost 3 years and honestly, I'm so sad to have left though the area is in a rough state- this building is wonderfully maintained and full of some of the best people I've come across in downtown
The staff at the property always made me feel heard seen and taken care of, as well as safe as a female living alone in Dtla
Carlos, the security guard is always taking his job so serious and I respect that a lot and the way he protects the property and residents. Vincent and other maintenance is absolutely wonderful and it's the only time I've ever trusted anyone to go into my apartment without me being home. I've lived at so many high-rises and never felt safe letting any of the staff in my place unattended, I even feel that way at my new place! I never felt this at the Brockman and anyone who came into my unit did everything properly and with care.
But the biggest thank you to Mike who really makes a resident feel welcomed from the beginning to the end and always took any of my needs or concerns so serious and handled things in such a professional manner. Brockman was the best experience I ever had as a renter in Los Angeles and if I could pick this building up and put it down in a better area, I would stay forever!”

Mimi is the best leasing agent so efficient and preforming miracles. Chrissy is the best office manager so kind and always on top of things. Tracie is so thoughtful and kind. Shane is another gem. “I just spent 3.5 years of my life in LA living at the Roosevelt in DTLA. All I can say is, wow, what an amazing experience I had while I lived there and it was because of the amazing staff.Jack Wallach, Izabella, and the rest of the leasing team, top tier talent within the property management game. They have done a great job not only the amazing residents but even the occasional difficult ones. Truly a great team that was there to help make living at the Roosevelt a great one.Gina and Sandra- two of the best women that made sure the upkeep of the building was maintained. Both such great people that I feel need more credit. The flowers that Gina adds to the lobby, such a great touch.Amin, Ade, Janet, Michael, all great people that ensure the safety of the residents by maintaining the front of the house. All exceptionally personable and professional. I miss them the most!All of my valet guys, Alvaro, Marvin, Rafael, Manuel, Alejandro, Alfredo, Damian, Wences, Gerson, and Kevin. They were integral to the heart of the Roosevelt, all great guys that I know will continue to shine their light there.”

“Ava Toluca hills is an apartment complex I would recommend to everyone I know . Extra mention to the maintenance man Arturo, he was super helpful and attentive, great guy! Leasing office and Management was very nice. - p.s. Scenery is great, Deer, Hills and views. Just beware of coyotes at night if you have pets.”

“I don’t live here, I only toured, but I had to come on here to give some well-deserved praise. Although we ultimately chose a different property, El Centro was a very close second thanks to our amazing leasing agent, Iryna.
Her work ethic and knowledge of the property were outstanding. She patiently answered what felt like 10,000 of our questions and took us on multiple tours to help us find the right apartment.
Even though we ended up going a different direction, I truly appreciated her professionalism and dedication, and I wanted to make sure she got the recognition she deserves!!

“Wonderful community and exemplary service staff! I have been a happy member of this community for close to 4 years and recently required maintenance in my unit. I placed the service request online, and was delighted to have a service team member arrive at my door within a couple of hours! Mr. Huerta provided truly phenomenal service! He was prompt, professional, kind, and courtesy. He was even gracious enough to provide me a few minutes to clear my belongings before the service work started! The repair was complete within the hour and I was able to go about my day as normal, a genuine stress free process! The service staff is just another reason why I love this residence and community. “I love living at Bora, it’s so convenient to have Yama and Van Dyke downstairs. The Koreatown Galleria is also super close and convenient to the groceries. The apartment itself is very nice, I don’t have complaints about noise whether from the courtyard or the laundry machine. Helen is so sweet and super helpful with any concerns or questions I have. “I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon Highland Villas. It ended up being the perfect place to live during my time in LA. The apartment was close to the train, and I was able to take the train to work every day, which made my commute so easy. The parking was very safe, and Highland Park is just cool.
Brenda, the manager, was beyond amazing. She was always so kind, helpful, and responsive, and she made me feel right at home.
