“Place is good! Apartments are clean, in a nice area. I would recommend living here. Management isn’t too bad. 4 stars not 5 since there is a ton of bureaucracy and it takes forever to get big things done.
However, the current maintenance team is amazing! Randy and the team always go above and beyond to get things taken care of right away.
While not perfect I would recommend!”

“Wanted to post a review since I’ve been having issues with my fridge for a few months now. The maintenance staff have been helping to get it fixed but seemed to be persisting. Finally today instead of another fix they decided to just install a brand new fridge. I appreciate the the whole team for making this happen and specifically Anthony Jackson of the maintenance for being on top of helping with fixes and installing the new fridge!”

The staff at the property always made me feel heard seen and taken care of, as well as safe as a female living alone in Dtla
Carlos, the security guard is always taking his job so serious and I respect that a lot and the way he protects the property and residents. Vincent and other maintenance is absolutely wonderful and it's the only time I've ever trusted anyone to go into my apartment without me being home. I've lived at so many high-rises and never felt safe letting any of the staff in my place unattended, I even feel that way at my new place! I never felt this at the Brockman and anyone who came into my unit did everything properly and with care.
But the biggest thank you to Mike who really makes a resident feel welcomed from the beginning to the end and always took any of my needs or concerns so serious and handled things in such a professional manner. Brockman was the best experience I ever had as a renter in Los Angeles and if I could pick this building up and put it down in a better area, I would stay forever!”

“Ava Toluca hills is an apartment complex I would recommend to everyone I know . Extra mention to the maintenance man Arturo, he was super helpful and attentive, great guy! Leasing office and Management was very nice. - p.s. Scenery is great, Deer, Hills and views. Just beware of coyotes at night if you have pets.”

“I’ll be moving to Verdosa soon and the apartments are spacious with really great views. Martin has been tremendously helpful, nice, and professional throughout the whole leasing process. Honestly can’t wait to call Verdosa home!
UPDATE: I've lived here for about 10 months now and love it. First, the concierge is exceptional. Daniel, Asante, Yvette, McCall, and Patricia are always friendly and helpful and work hard in maintaining a pleasant atmosphere for the tenants - thank you!
My apartment is spacious, and the views are pretty spectacular (the photo was taken from the balcony). Very quiet neighbors on my floor. The building is located in a great part of downtown, very walkable with beautiful historic (and modern) buildings all around. If you're unfamiliar with LA/DTLA, you should still remain vigilant and aware of your surroundings, like any metropolitan city.
I haven't used the amenities yet, but the pool and recreational area are very nice and serene. Highly recommend!”

“Wonderful community and exemplary service staff! I have been a happy member of this community for close to 4 years and recently required maintenance in my unit. I placed the service request online, and was delighted to have a service team member arrive at my door within a couple of hours! Mr. Huerta provided truly phenomenal service! He was prompt, professional, kind, and courtesy. He was even gracious enough to provide me a few minutes to clear my belongings before the service work started! The repair was complete within the hour and I was able to go about my day as normal, a genuine stress free process! The service staff is just another reason why I love this residence and community. “Been here with my wife for a little over a year now.
We are extremely happy with the property, the staff and the neighborhood.
This building is pet friendly which is a major plus.
The grounds inside and out are cleaned daily, and the amenities are restocked regularly (dog bags, coffee machines, vending machine etc.)
Private garage parking for residents, community workspaces, game rooms, lounges, pool and jacuzzi, plus private bike rooms.
The community has regular social gatherings, and everyone in the building is super friendly (staff & residents). Mostly adults and few kids, if that matters to you.
There is on-site security 24/7 which is a definite bonus.
Apartments are well-insulated and quiet.
There is a ton of walkable restaurants/stores/activities so you can have fun without needing to hop in your car.
Plus a private street to serve the building, which is a major plus.
I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a cool space in DTLA.”

“I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about living at Catalina. My husband, our dog, and I called this building home for three years, and we genuinely loved our time there. I always felt incredibly safe, loved the location, and never experienced any issues with break-ins or security during the entire time we lived there.
One of the things I’ll miss most is the sense of community. We met so many kind, friendly people in the building, and it really felt like home. We also had a great experience with our unit. The only maintenance issue we ever had was with the AC, and it was addressed and resolved very quickly.
Most importantly, Rafael and Joy are truly exceptional. They were always incredibly attentive, responsive, warm, and kind, and they genuinely care about the people who live there. Over the years, they became more than just property managers to us, they became friends, and I honestly miss seeing them every day. They are two of the nicest people you could hope to have managing your home.
We have so many happy memories from our three years here, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this building to anyone looking for a wonderful place to live. We’re so grateful for the time we spent there and for the people who made it feel like home. ❤”

“I don’t live here, I only toured, but I had to come on here to give some well-deserved praise. Although we ultimately chose a different property, El Centro was a very close second thanks to our amazing leasing agent, Iryna.
Her work ethic and knowledge of the property were outstanding. She patiently answered what felt like 10,000 of our questions and took us on multiple tours to help us find the right apartment.
