“**warning: check your receipt!!! For the last 20 years. I have been going to EL MAMBI, they have salted pig tail, and butter beans and a lot of Goya's products, no-gas green bananas and other central Americans food. I wish they had salted mackerel. I am going to check to see if they have salted beef. They do have baccalo but not very good quality. I love their sweet potatoes, Ñame root . Thank the Lord that they are still operating in Glendale since this is the last Central American/ Caribbean market left in Glendale CA. ****Someone mentioned below that you should check your receipt before leaving and make certain that they do not overcharge you. I noticed they did that to me before seeing this warning and it was a lot about $15 overcharging me and now I truly believe that they did it on purpose, one of the female cashed me out and I noticed it was too high. She make me feel as if she did not clear the register from the last customer. But now I look back and realize by her response she knew what she did. *** Be careful when the females are cashing you out. It is just a shame to steal from your customers!!”

“I enjoy shopping at this Big square Store . The store is always well stocked, especially the meat department, which has a great selection. I can usually find everything I need in one trip. The store is clean, organized, and offers a wonderful shopping experience.

“I really like shopping here. I would give it a 5 star only if it wasn’t so busy all the time. They have many registers, but it’s always so crowded there. I change my mind. I will give 5 star. It’s not their fault everyone wants to shop there. They have many things and usually fresh that I can’t find in other supermarkets.”

“Referred to this store by my neighbor for some authentic Armenian and Russian groceries. Can't believe this place has been here for like 30 years and I didn't know about it. Super cool spot with a lot of really great middle eastern, Russian, and I guess Ukrainian products. They've got all the regular grocery items but they've also got a bunch of stuff that I didn't know existed. Huge selection of chocolates, spices, deli meats and cheese, a bunch of desserts, caviar, canned foods, a bunch of different breads from all over the world. Pretty cool - I would definitely suggest taking a look at this place. Staff was nice, super warm atmosphere, and I think one of the older guys that was working there might have been the owner. Not sure but everyone was cool. I went in around 10:00AM and they weren't super busy so that might be a good time to go.”

“I have been looking for a great market in the area that is clean, has fresh products, and feels like a good place to give your money too. I stopped by this store on my way to another supermarket that google maps was directing me too. I guess I could say the exterior caught my attention. I’m not sure why the ratings on this store aren’t as high as they should be. I bought the best produce I had in the past several years. The fruits and vegetables are fresh and tasteful. Also they have all kinds of bread and baked goods, I tried the baguettes that was delicious and very fresh. I highly recommend stopping by at this store to get your produce. Also, their employees are so kind, a young lady helped me find exactly what I was looking for which made shopping there so much better. You wanna make sure you’re giving your business to good people and I think if the employees are well mannered it comes from how the business is run. Keep it up!”
