“We were in LA for a few days on a family vacation. One of the things my kids like to do is find magic stores in the area so they can pick up a few tricks. We did a google search and The Magic Apple came up as a possible location. Never knowing what will come up as a search result, we didn’t know what we’d be walking in to. The Magic Apple was the best outcome for what we were looking for. The owner was so upbeat and had high energy. My son walked in the door, was greeted, was asked what he was looking for, got shown a few tricks, bought a few new ones, and walked out happy.”

“This place has EVERYTHING! As soon as you step in, there are jewels, crystals, beads, and tools as far as the eye can see. It’s like a treasure wonderland in there. Of course, such a wide selection can leave you feeling a bit lost which is where the customer service comes in.
I was fortunate to be helped by a very lovely lady who helped me find everything I needed. She has knowledge and expertise, and was able to give me insight into what sizes I needed for crimp beads and jump rings. She even showed me beautiful necklaces that she had made herself, which showcased her skill. I asked her about how wire protectors work, and she took the time to draw me a diagram to show me how they work! It was an act of kindness that I appreciate so much, and just speaks to the level of customer care that they provide. I will definitely be back”

“Great shop with great people. Customer service is top notch, are willing to give deals, have great selection from vintage to new, and have even bought a card from me at a ver fair price. If I didn’t live an hour away and had the opportunity to go more than just when I visit family, I would. Employees take the time to talk to me and my girlfriend, have a great selection, and the owner is a cool guy. My girlfriend isn’t asking me to leave after being there for 4 minutes, which should say a lot to all of you who drag better halves with you to card shops!”
“We're a D&D party of 8 plus DM, and we couldn't find a place willing to accommodate a group of our size until Paper Hero's Games! The staff is so kind and helpful and they always make sure we have a space to play and everything we need. Special shout-out to Olivier who's always so friendly and accommodating. Though the player community here is more Magic-focused, the store also has a great selection of board games, D&D miniatures, and dice. Oh, and cheap snacks and drinks — a boon for those 4-hour sessions when my party is desperately trying to survive the mortal danger I throw them into.”

This one is keeping the hobby alive from anything RC, Model, Die-Cast, and accessories related. Their off road course is unlike anything else we have in town, hours of fun for all ages and skill levels. Plus they price match any competitor, can't beat that value. “I love this store! There are so few like it left in this Amazon world we live in, and their prices are so reasonable! They've been around forever, and I was so grateful they survived COVID. They have a little bit of everything and provide services like knife and scissor sharpening and they making keys as well - you can't even get keys made at Home Depot anymore - in this age of service-less stores, they now have a machine and you have to do it yourself - which may or may not work. The people at Knife Trader are so fair and honest that when I brought my cuticle scissors in for sharpening, they told me they didn't even need it! They could easily have just done it and charged me and I never would have known the difference. It's a blessing when you get to deal with good, kind, honest people. I highly recommend this neighborhood gem!”

“Michaels has everything you will ever need in way of arts and crafts. They have classes to teach you things from painting to making a wreath. They are full of ideas. You can always find all sorts of ideas and craft packages for kids to make. I was in a rut because I ordered a bunch of crafts from a company for my Sunday School students to make. No one seems to sell religious arts and crafts in stores but I found them at Michael's. It wasn't big selection but I was grateful to find what I did. I actually met the late David McCallum there picking up some crafts. They have sketching, painting, floral, candles & candle making kits. They have gemstones and findings for making jewelry, wood crafts for painting as well as Canvasses. It's really wonderful just how much they have. All the personnel know about everything you need to find and make something and how to do it. Michael's makes the world a better place.”
