“I love this bank. Best customer service. Never going anywhere else. Also to note, it's a couple dollars a month if you have less then $1500. I've rarely had more then that in my account, and it still does not bother me in the least. Their level of service is well worth the small charge.”
“I recently had an experience at this branch that left me feeling uneasy. I was contacted to schedule an appointment and felt some pressure around the timing, but when I arrived the employee who scheduled it had called in sick.
While the staff on-site were helpful and professional, the situation stood out to me, especially given recent reports of scams involving banking appointments in the area.
I’m not making any accusations, but I do think it’s important for the branch to be aware of how this might come across to customers. I appreciated the help I received when I was there, but the initial experience could have been handled more clear”
“This is one of two banks I use. They experienced a cyber security problem a few days ago. When I went into the bank yesterday morning the system was still down. Please note that if you want to transfer money like I did they have to call a special number and then your transaction cannot be posted until the end of the day. ATM did not work when I tried to take out cash. They are working on the major problem.The employees are friendly. I am glad to see they have mote tellers then a few months ago.This location is on Sutton way off of Brunswick in Grass Valley. They do have a drive thru to the right of the building.The smaller Tri Counties bank on Neal Street has a walk up ATM.Usually a very efficient bank for all your needs!”
“Great local bank that has a welcoming staff and atmosphere. We appreciated the customer service and the way the staff went above and beyond to help us. We loved the artwork and lamps that were locally made inside the branch as well. The bank works differently than most, and we appreciate their attention to detail. We feel like a valued client here, even though we have only been banking with them for just 6 months or so.”
“Cheyenne in the special assets department is the first person from Tri Counties bank that has honestly Helped me and was very polite And helpful like your bank should be Iopened up my first bank account at the first Tri Counties Bank which was a mobile home on Pillsbury Road in Chico California being young I close that account and re-opened it approximately 30 years later and refinance my house through them Everything is running smoothly until my home floods and they have to repair all the damage and much much more lifted the home 4 feet which is a lot of work and money so it’s been a bumpy road until now At this branch in grass Valley California Cheyenne has restored my faith a bit Thank you”

1/15/26 Update: upgrading from 4 to 5 stars. It's been well over a year since the transition and BMO has made me a fan! It's been a complicated year with a business sale, home improvement loan, investment changes and even a small case of fraudulent charges; and BMO has been outstanding at handling it all. They have smart, polite, efficient staff and I've never waited longer than a couple minutes in line.
In 50 years of banking, I've used all the big boys like BofA, Wells Fargo, Etc, and never experienced this level of service.
Good parking and easy ATM access. Speaking of ATM, I wish they had one that allowed denomination choices. Not too big of a deal, because the lines are short. I recommend them to friends regularly. Keep up the great work team BMO!”
