She was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the different account options and special promotions available. My 7-year-old was especially excited about the youth savings program and absolutely loves the piggy bank he received. “I went in the Navy Federal Credit Union at 200 Catalina Blvd San Diego to open an account on 12/20/2019. My father was an enlisted man and was honorably discharged in 1956. I had his DD Form 214 in hand to show proof that my father was in the Navy. I was met by very friendly receptionist who gave me a packet to review. Within two minutes, Symphonie, the teller took me back to an office. Symphonie was very personable, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the credit union. Within 20 minutes, I had an account opened with a debit card in hand! So far, NFCU beats any bank in town. You couldn't have a better location over looking the Pacific Ocean and parking was a breeze. If you are able to join, I would definitely recommend Navy Federal Credit Union.”
“The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I use a mobility scooter. Unfortunately, it is too big for the little elevator that they have for wheelchairs. I only have to go down 4 steps. Again, the staff are friendly. The location works too, and it has a walk-up ATM.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Navy Federal Credit Union. The other day I was getting gas in Tijuana, and the attendant charged me twice. I filed a dispute with Navy Federal, and within 24 hours they had it fully resolved and posted a refund back to my account. “I started my membership with Mission Federal Credit Union in 1976. I am recommending Mission Fed because over all those years my experience has been generally good. That said, I did have a bad experience at the Poway branch recently. I was charged twice for an international wire transfer. The branch manager, and the vendor that I wired the funds to each blamed each other for the “mistake”. I explained to the manager that I am just the consumer, and I trusted that they would know how to perform the transaction. That didn’t happen, and I had to pay an additional $40, for a total of $80, to wire funds overseas. Even though The Poway branch is much closer to me, I will be going to the Rancho Bernardo branch from now on since I have never had any issues with them.”

“I have been a member of Wheelhouse Credit Union in downtown San Diego for over twenty years. They have ALWAYS been helpful. If you want personalized service, this is definitely the place to go.I recently had my user name and password stolen. Obviously wanted to change account info. as soon as possible. Delia K. and Deanna P. to the rescue. They came up with a solution to my problem. They fixed my accounts and all the worry associated with stolen info. They not only resolved the situation but stayed long after the credit union had closed to make everything right. Talk about customer service! How many other banks or credit unions would do that?Just amazing.”
“Wow... I read a few of the reviews here. And I have to say they are so out of the norm. I have been an NFCU client for 42 years and I have never EVER experienced anything like the complaints. Are there long lines? Sure, if you come at 5pm on a Friday! Or 9am on a Monday! Get real folks. That's like complaining about the wait at a breakfast place on mother's day! I have always been treated well and with proffesionalism. It's definately better than Wells Fargo or BofA....hands down!”
