“We have been with quail animal hospital for more than five years. Dr. Wang is the best vet we have ever met. He is very knowledgeable and honest, it is very easy to communicate with him and he has a lot of patience. They will call us the second day after every visit, which is very nice. The price is pretty fair for an animal hospital in Irvine. I took out one star because every time when we try to call them to make an appointment no one would answere, we had to left a voice mail and waiting, sometimes it took more than a day which can be frustrating.”
“Dr Koch is amazing! He performed an emergency surgery on our foster dog Gerdie! She swallowed this rope months ago, and he got it out of her belly! He was so so kind and friendly and very trustworthy! I highly recommend him! It’s hard to find a good vet now that actually cares about your pet more than the money!”

“We like this hospital very much. Dr Melville is a great doctor and friend of animals. She is very knowledgeable, experienced and attentive. The staff is very friendly and helpful.”
“I took my dog Larson there as she had trouble going to restroom. From the first person I met until I was able to check her out and get her back home, I thought I was getting the best diagnosis, advice and treatment plans as well as timely updates. They accommodated me visiting her throughout her stay. I cannot recommend higher. I am very thankful to the whole staff for having Larson back home.”
“We brought in our Goldendoodle yesterday because he had a testicular torsion, and our regular vet didn't have any openings, and I'm so glad we accidentally called here instead of the other place we were suggested to go. Luckily, they had an opening here, and we are so glad it worked out that way, because it was less than 4 hours from the time he was brought in to being home. They were very swift and efficient when my Mom came in, and from the whole Cefalú family, thank you!!! The actual doctor called this morning (the morning after) to check up on him, and I've never seen another vet's office do that the next day, let alone the very same surgeon. Seeing the way they handled a pretty high-pressure, uncomfortable situation for our pup, we will be recommending this place to everyone we know with fur babies.”
“I came in with my kitty who had been an accident at home. They were very quick to help us & I love that they were honest and didn’t try to up sale us on anything. They sent us home with medication & instructions on what to look out for in case I needed to bring her back.”
“Animal Hospital of Irvine is the BEST clinic! Thank you Dr. Lai and thank you to all of the staff at Animal Hospital of Irvine for taking such good care of my cat.”
“This clinic in Irvine is not just friendly. The Veterinarians are extremely knowledgeable. They explain your animal’s health issues I’d detail. I really appreciate the time they spend with you & your pet. They never rush the visits. I’m very thankful to have them and so is my dog. 5 stars at least??”
“We brought our dog in for some skin and joint concerns and the staff was incredibly attentive and thorough! Our dog is a senior dog who tends to be quite reactive and they were absolutely accommodating and understanding of that. They addressed all of our concerns and offered multiple treatment options. With each of the treatment options, they explained the health benefits and costs, making our decisions much easier. I would highly recommend Dr. Jung and the Vetco staff!”
“We took our two fur babies there, we were greeted and explained what was going on. The vet talked to us. Medication we got right there. Good amount of parking with handicap parking which we used. The two girls we talked to on the phone and in person were very pleasant.”

“I was very happy with the veterinary services that my two babies received. I kind of expected to be charged additional fees, which is typically the case with these Wellness plans, but there were no additional charges and the veterinarian was very polite, kind, and proficient.”
“Dr. Chen and the entire staff at the Irvine Blvd VCA hospital are truly the best of the best! Dr. Chen is extremely knowledgeable, he is compassionate, and he treats the animals like they are his own. He takes his time, he makes sure to answer any and all questions without making you feel rushed or like you are inconveniencing him, he responds promptly to emails, even if he is on vacation, he shows genuine care and concern and goes far out of his way to ensure your pet gets properly cared for. He is one of the best around and the staff is the same way. They are so caring and accommodating, they do whatever they can to help in every way possible. They are honest, upfront, professional, and extremely kind! If you are looking for an incredible place to take your pet for incredible care, go visit Dr. Chen and the staff at VCA Irvine Blvd. Animal Hospital, you won't be disappointed and your pets will thank you that you did!”
“I recently came to this pet hospital to get my friend's dog examined prior to international shipment. The receptionist, Sarah, nurse, and Dr. Feng provided great service. They were all friendly and warm to the dog. The exam was on time, and they were able to take the extra time to answer any questions and comments during the exam and paperwork. Dr. Feng was even able to reduce the bill due to finding electronic certification acceptance by the destination country.”

“This is our second visit here. Dr Kay was helpful and explained all the tests thoroughly. She helped us coordinate an ultrasound at another facility because their doctor was on vacation. Really appreciated it.”

“I've been going to this clinic for a year with my senior kitties.
General info:
Appointment costs are reasonable if not a bit cheaper than surrounding clinics, which is great.
The clinic is busy, but they're always able to get you in for a sudden appointment if necessary, which I'm grateful for at times when my pets had concerning health issues arise. They always try to accommodate you. There are many vets at the clinic (I've met with at least 4-5), so you'll likely visit different vets each time unless your pet has a health issue, which means you'll see the same vet until it's resolved.
Everyone is friendly and lovely and you don't feel rushed when you have an appointment. *Note: We are the voice for our pets health, so still, make sure you ask all the questions and do whatever you need for your pet, including following up on results for tests, etc.
Because all these vets come from different backgrounds, at this clinic, I've experienced different consultations: vets with firm beliefs and who make immediate diagnoses and vets who advocate doing your own research (which i appreciate) and who consider any and all options before confirming anything. My experiences with most of the vets have been pleasant, but these differences naturally have us inclined toward favoring some vets at the practice more than others.
Personal story:
First, it was an annual exam, then it was my calico's unfortunate diagnosis of chronic kidney disease. Later, my tuxedo kitty was suffering from her mouth and because they didn't have any immediate dental care openings, they insisted upon her being checked by a dental specialist at a specialist clinic and we found she had terminal cancer. I'm grateful they did not make us wait. Her loss hurts us still to this day, but this clinic was very sweet in sending a card with their condolences.
Dr. E:
My calico got pancreatitis soon after that ordeal and she was seen by Dr. E, who is kind, very informative, and dare I say, our favorite vet at the practice. My calico was sent to an internal medicine doctor for specialist care, but despite this and some continued struggles, Dr. E was always thinking of ways to help when we needed it and always patiently answering and clarifying our many, many questions. Since working with Dr. E on maintainance care, our calico has gained weight and is doing very well, even when her chronic kidney disease has slightly progressed. What really helped her get out of lasting pancreatitis symptoms by the end was B12 injections Dr. E prescribed. Due to our many positive experiences with her, we continue to ask for Dr. E and highly recommend her.
In conclusion:
We've gone to this clinic so many times in the course of a year, and every time, the receptionists, vet techs, and vets have been wonderful to our cats and the prices of anything and everything have been fairly decent (highly recommend pet insurance with senior pets though). I would recommend this place for your pet's medical care, especially with Dr. E. and Dr. Roberts.
